If I can make a recommendation too, check out Rosetta if you've never heard them. They're just as amazing as ISIS for my money.

Oh, and thanks for the link Doc...that shit sounds great.
Rosetta fucking rules. Gallilean Satellites FTW.

As for Isis, I've listened to em, but not enough to make a decision if I like em or not. What better time than now?

      Oceanic or Panopticon.
If you can manage it, stare at a lake and smoke a joint along with the record. hahaha.

And ya, Rosetta's excellent too. Got both sides of Gallilean Satellites, plus a mashup version with both records running together.

What keeps me from listening to it sometimes is the internal conflict over which of the 3 versions to listen to. haha.

Gallilean Satellites is really good, but Wake/Lift IMO is even better. Can't wait for some new stuff hopefully next year sometime.

Add another fan of Rosetta to the board.

That double album of theirs was terrific.

Cool to see so many fans of Rosetta...my buddy turned me onto them a few years back and I've been actively pimping them out ever since

I saw a small article in revolver about them. When they mentioned they were ISIS-inspired and that their album sides could be combined I thought "I have to fuckin have this!". haha.

Oh yes. Especially the combined version.

                      Musical bliss.

Have you heard the SPLIT they did with Balboa?

Some great Rosetta songs on there.

Isis is amazing. My favorite song is wrists of kings

Mine would have to be :

                          The Beginning and the End

That song just has the perfect blend, both equal parts of beauty and brutality.

Have you heard the band Red Sparrows? They sound a lot like Isis.

                              Yea they are awesome.
There's still quite a bit of a difference between them and Isis though.
Pelican also sound a bit like Isis.
But you can definitely tell an Isis record from a Pelican record.

Pelican is super cool. My friend's band toured with them, but I was never able to hit up a show.
