[QUOTE=Sea Hag;2580194]I'm obviously in the minority but I just can't get into these guys. The vocals bother me as does the bouncy riffage that's present in alot of their songs. And not once has any of their tracks/riffs/breakdowns ever made the hairs on my arms stand-up. I feel like I'm missing out on something but they just don't hit home for me.

Fair enough, there are alot of bands I can't fucking stand either, that most of my friends just love. Myself, I have always loved Meshuggah. That being said, who do you like ?

C'mon Sea Hag, you can't get into a little "Suffer in Truth" at least???? Gotta be one of my favorite Meshuggah tracks.

As far as modern day? Off the top of my head: Gojira, Frightmare, Municipal Waste, Pig Destroyer, Ghoul, Engorged, Ghost, Blood Freak.. And of course greats like Death, Carcass, Kreator, etc..

If I had to guess, I'd say it's definitely hard and heavy.

Depending on your size, Split may have missed it too.

                              It's been taken down.

I don't mean to come in here and poo-poo these guys for I have friends whose opinions I respect on metal and they do nothing but praise them. And they just seem to be loved by metal fans in general. I don't know, I feel kind of left-out I guess Besides the new "Gojira" & whenever "Engorged" & Splattercraft" finish their albums there's nothing else I'm really amped for.

Hell, music is like politics and religion (can't talk about it). Nice to see we can have a healthy discussion...even though it is apparent that Sea Hag is an alien...maybe 'From Mars to Sirius' \m/ \m/

"Of Blood and Salt" is a bad arse track and I'm psyched. See there, I can like Gojira and Meshuggah.
