[Trailer] ‘Pumpkin Jack’ Heads to PS5, Xbox Series Next Month

Published

on

Headup and developer Nicolas Meyssonnier’s action-platformer Pumpkin Jack (which we previously reviewed) will be getting the next-gen upgrade on October 27. The developer and publisher announced that those who previously purchased the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game will receive a free upgrade for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions.

And, in an extra Halloween treat, Headup also announced that Pumpkin Jack will be cross-buy on PlayStation and Xbox platforms. Meaning, if you buy the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series version, you’ll also get the last-gen version, as well!

Next-gen enhancements for Pumpkin Jack include a Performance Mode that targets up to 4K resolution at 60fps, and a Quality Mode that targets up to 4K resolution at 30 frames per second, adding higher quality effects and shadows with Ray-Tracing.

In addition to consoles, Pumpkin Jack is also available on Steam, the Epic Games Store and GOG.com.

‘Dead Island 2’ Arrives on Steam With Hefty Discount [Trailer]

The wait is over for Steam users looking to stomp around Los Angeles busting zombie heads in Deep Silver and Dambuster’s Dead Island 2. The multimillion-selling follow-up to the 2011 original is now available on Steam, as well as the title’s two DLCs, including the recently-released “SoLA”. Deep Silver has marked the occasion with a new launch trailer.

In fact, Deep Silver has sweetened the deal with a 50% off sale for Dead Island 2 on Steam that’s on until April 29. That sale also applies to the title’s expansion packs and DLCs.

Just in case you missed it the first time around, Dead Island 2 centres around a deadly virus that’s spreading across Los Angeles, turning its inhabitants into ravenous zombies. The city is in quarantine and the military have retreated. Bitten, infected, but more than just immune, you learn to harness the zombie inside of you.

Known as Slayers, you (and if you choose, up to three players in co-op mode) must embark on an epic pulp journey across a plethora of well-known locations such as Beverly Hills, Venice Beach and Santa Monica to uncover the truth behind the outbreak and who or what they are turned into.

Dead Island 2 is also available on PC via the Epic Games Store, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
