I'm all for a finesse passing attack, man haven't seen that since the Marino years, but still need that threat at RB to keep teams guessing instead of being 1 dimensional.

With that being said I'm really high on Lamar Miller though, I think he has major potential, I'm fine with seeing what he can do to start the season.

I was hoping maybe the Dolphins could've signed Steven Jackson, but that ship has sailed.

Did it ever, well can't sign every single high profile free agent but I'm very happy with Wallace and Ellerbee so far.

And wasn't it great to see Welker leave the Pats? Brady takes a paycut hoping to sign his favorite wide receiver target and he fucks off!! LOL AHHAAHAHA

I really don't see what or how Miami could suddenly turn it around. I'm confused, last year Ryan didn't really seem like a QB everyone should study up hard for, and the addition of Wallace really won't turn the team around. Maybe its the rose tinted glasses that Ig wears but, at least for right now the Pats still own that division right?

I still expect the Patriots to hold on to the AFC East, but Tannehill has talent and he'll get better. The Dolphins WILL be in contention for the wildcard spot, i'm certain of it.

I wouldn't jump on the bandwagon that fast! I can't think of a rookie quaterback that didn't go through a sophmore slump.

Stranger things have happened but don't get your hopes up

Nope! Dolphins fans should be aiming for 2014-2015+

If Tannehill survives this season and goes into 2014 with a few more weapons they should contend. If he falls flat this year and turns in Blaine Gabbert numbers they may be looking for a QB by 2016.

But who knows Tannehill may blaze'em and the dolphins may sneak in!

Ravens and Steelers are rebuilding so who the hell knows!

                    Ben Roethlisberger.

Heck, Marino himself was pretty decent as a rookie and we all know what he did his 2nd year in the league.

Technically Tom Brady who was in his 2nd year in '01; but as far as I can tell you're going more for the recent wave of young QB's that stepped right in and performed solid from the minute they were drafted and started opening day of their rookie season. In that case, I guess you could consider Brady's 3rd year as actually being his sophomore year. Although Brady did perform much better statistically but the Tuck Rule Coupons missed the playoffs at 9-7.

I bet there's plenty of recent guys that actually made gradual to marked improvements over their rookie season. Besides since most QB's except Peyton, Rodgers and Brady are prone to slumps (Brees even had an awful stretch last year) I don't think saying a 2nd year QB will have a few subpar games means too much towards whether they actually improved.

Of course, this question makes more sense to apply to Luck and RGIII than it does Tannehill. I expect at least a modest improvement out of him; more TD's, more picks (17 TD, 16 INT?) Bottom line; I'd rather have my future riding with him than some Ivy League noodle armed smoke and mirrors jabronie like the guy the Bills just cut. But no, I can't imagine anybody's expecting him to play like a franchise QB this season.

It seems that RYan has the other QB (luck, RG3 and Colin) to keep him off people's rader, maybe that will help him. He (outside of Miami) has no real pressure on him unlike those others mentioned. Hell, look at the division, the bills just tossed Fitzpatrick, the Jets are just fucking up left and right, so you could easily sit at number 2 in the division.

Yet again, you could be like the Chargers here in San Diego, they were supposed to be better but they always fuck up, and now with Denver putting the free agents together they should have the lock on the Afc west again.

I am glad that the Steelers are cutting the old weight and TRYING to get young and healthy.

It is weird to see the Ravens purge so many people...plus Reed was shopping his place around.

How do you feel about Fasano and S.Smith both leaving for K.C?

They both weren't the greatest but fuck Ireland better have a plan to replace these guys.

Sean Smith was far more valuable to the Fins than Fasano. Hopefully they get a good tight end and cornerback to replace them.

well, tannehill has lineage in his own backyard: marino's second season was his 5,000+ yards and 48 tds season.

If we suddenly fall should I scream out
Or keep very quiet and cling to my mouth as I’m crying
                            So frightened of dying
                            Relax, yes, I’m trying
But fear's got a hold on me

If Tannehill managed 3500 yards I would be surprised.

I'm not doubting the guy by any means but he is definitely no Marino!

I think there's a possibility he gets it, but not necessarily for the right reason. If the running game doesn't take off in Reggie's absence, Tanny may have no choice but to chuck it often. He might be a sneaky good choice for fantasy football.
