I looked but couldn't find a thread already started.

Awesome movie. Completely underrated.

This is up there with my favourites. Some of the rape scenes were disturbing as fuck. The second half isn't as good as the first, though (atleast I think so). Definitely check this movie out if you haven't already.

most definitely a classic in my opinion.

I wasn't very impressed. The rape scenes with the ghost happend way to many times, so many it loses it's punch and becomes comedic. That freezing the aparition scene could have played out a hell of a lot better. This flick was such a tease. I just wanted to see the ghost all gnarly and crazy and rotting and killing....but it was just a horny ass invisible guy who occassionly put on laser shows. It was a variety pack of The Exorcist and ,Poltergeist but not nearly as good as either. Discount bin. Dreg.

My memory is a little hazy on this one too. I remember some dr. setting up a fake house with glass/plastic walls to see what would happen...or something like that..I remember it was a pretty good movie.

I just watched it today,(yesterday I guess)and I would agree that the first half is not near as good as the second half. The second half seems like they didn't realize they were going to do a movie that was nearly 2 hours long and just needed some filler.

I do have a question and I don't want to start a new thread to get it answered, but on the IMDB, when looking up The Entity, there is on for 2010,but you cannot see the details unless you are a ProIMDB member.
Do you know anything of a remake in 2010? Or is it something completely different?

Hideo Nakata was supposedly going to do a remake. I haven't heard anything about it in years though.
