His tattoo is HIS tattoo, so it doesn't really phase me what he chooses to get. But I do think it says a lot more about him, and therefore is a worthwhile personal choice, than some bland tribal tattoo or tramp stamp.

this is the reason i don't, and probably never will have any work done.

a friend of mine got a tattoo because it would win him a contest to meet a band he barely listens to. that's right, he got their logo tattooed on him FOR LIFE, just to win tickets to a concert.

just to balance that out he got his grandfather's air force crest done on his arm. i felt like pointing out that it might mean something if he himself ever fought in a war. instead it's an empty gesture, and i'm sure anyone who actually fought in a war would be pretty upset that some 20 something thinks it's noble to brand themselves like this.

i could go on. tattoos don't mean shit anymore. if i were ever to get one, the only thing i'm sure i wouldn't mind on my body for life is a maple leaf. it'll probably never happen, but if it does at least it'll fuckin mean something.
