I only find many members slow - not the site. but What the hell goes on at 1:30 AM Central Mountain time?

that's about the time we're running our nightly backups, you'll definitely notice a performance hit until it's finished

GOOD NEWS! We're upgrading and moving to a new much improved setup soon. Server hardware is all setup, now we're transitioning everything over and will do a bit of testing, then we'll make the final switch.

I'd say definitely before the end of July we'll be on the new hardware, running newer and faster server software, and you guys should see a noticeable speed difference... especially during peak traffic.
