I think the scoring system can be different for everyone as long as it's comprehensible and consistent. 0-3, 0-5, 0-10, it doesn't really matter.

I don't understand this thread, it's a scale of minus three to positive three which gives seven potential scores per film. Or are we not allowed to dole out negative scores anymore? a 1-5 rating would mean 11 possible numbers (including minus one through five) which could tip the scale too far in one direction or another, for eggs, 2 plus 5's and a minus 5 = plus five and now my brain hurts from all these big numbers. Can't we just vote according to whether we can build bridges out of the films and whether they float and depending on them weighing the same as a duck or not?

Yes, a "predetermined fixed system" is the only fair way numerically speaking. Otherwise we could vote from -100 to +100 which wouldn't exactly give a balanced mean.

This isn't fucking rocket science (which, btw, I fully understand), it's simple 1-7 voting.
