It is slow from the get-go, there's no point from which you awake from your slumber.
But this movie isn't that bad, it lives mainly from its atmosphere and the great, mute Mads Mikkelsen.

I've been a fan of Green since Bertolucci's The Dreamers - I'm actually staring at the movie poster as I type this - and I've watched nearly everything she's been in. Wonderful actress. She was perfect for this role, very mysterious and somewhat creepily obsessed, especially toward the end.

Yeah. Glad she did full frontal nudity in this one. Gorgeous tits.

It was much better than I thought it was gonna be. I don't know which one I liked the most.

So far this is my least favorite of Refn's films. A little on the slow side (and that's putting it mildly) but the cinematography is solid and it has some nice gore.

I still need to see Bleeder...
Yeah I agree, it's a beautiful film visually but not as gripping as the rest of his films.

50/50 - 9/10

First watch since it came out and just as good.

Once Were Warriors (1994)

It's an immensly powerful, heartfelt heritage-driven movie and very brutal in an emotional sense. The acting was top notch and it delivers insight on the Maori people. This was a blind purchase (Paid 50 cents for it) and I couldn't be happier.

is Heckler that documentary about assholes in the crowd during stand up comedy shows?

I fucked hate it. Jamie Kennedy is a god damned moron. It was borderline hilarious when he was yelling at critics for not liking his shitty movies.

The Big Lebowski

Prometheus

Django Unchained

Fuck me, what an amazing film. Was gripping from start, to finish. Loved every second of it. Again, masterfully written, Tarantino is with ease one of the best writers out. It's sad seeing a film from him without the editing from Sally, but it's still done to perfection. I loved all the homages to the ol' Spaghetti Westerns. Shots, score and even the closing credits were in the style of Sergio Leone. It's good seeing that kind of violence in a mainstream slick, too. 10/10
