I'd probably be up for a song draft: they're usually much more varied and interesting than the other music drafts.

Hopefully jar will make a belated comeback, as his lists (whilst not necessarily to my taste) were at least interesting. Outpost was also another for composing an often interesting list.

Also Bear Jew should be banned from picking any Dub-step...

True although I do love Artist drafts, it's more diverse with song for sure...Plus THE RECS!!!!!!!

I want a song draft where anything linkable goes so I can post whatever shoot-myself-in-the-foot crap I can come up with.

Mash-ups, Chocolate Rain, That song by that American Idol Tone Deaf guy, etc

Give me that and I'll help run it.

Never even heard it actually, but I just want no holds barred so we can pick studio recordings, unrealeased versions, live performances, unofficial, but good sounding YouTube versions, etc.

I don't want to have to only use official releases like we've had to do in the past.

I think even with that rule in effect, most people will still pick what they usually do / were planning to anyway.

Pretty much, just in the past I've wanted to pick some "YouTube cult classics", a live version of Eric Johnson's Cliffs of Dover, and a studio version of something by Frank Zappa.

And that "official release" stuff has cock-blocked me. I just want more freedom where I should choose it.

I think if we're allowed to pick self-made shorts for the film drafts, we should certainly be allowed to pick mash-ups and unreleased cover songs... even if they're not on Youtube.

I know of several unsigned artists and music 'hobbyists' that have tracks on Sound Cloud and Grooveshark etc. Much of which is better than the bullshit that passes for music nowadays.
