I really enjoyed The Diamond as Big as the Ritz and of course the curious case of benjamin button on tales from the jazz age but my favorite was probably May Day albeit it being a tad racist in the form of anti-semitic but overall tons of memorable quotes

Alas! I have no more slippers! and alas! I have no more trinkets! May Heaven help me, for I know not what I shall do!

Oh yes I loved Benjamin Button and I had no idea he wrote that story until I read the book. Definitely could have been extended into a book of it's own.

I read it many many years ago and when I saw that the movie was coming out I went to the theater and left it thinking solid flick it was nice seeing it brought to the big screen.

The millions of books Fitzgerald has sold some of his work is still under appreciated which is hard to believe.

I still haven't seen the movie but I've wanted to and I definitely will actively seek it out now that I've discovered who wrote the story. You know I bring up Fitzgerald among other great classic authors anytime people start gushing about Twilight or Fifty Shades of Grey. Pick up a real book for goodness sake and stop killing brain cells with this garbage! Modern literature is like modern architecture. It's simple, bland, and made to fulfill people's basic needs.

Throw Harry Potter in that disease as well !

Normally I really love American Classic not so much on the English literature as I find it a bit boring such as the Bronte sisters but I agree with you 100% that today's standards of novels or short stories has drastically gone down hill but Fitzgerald was a modernist and brilliant at it along with Elliot,Frost,Gadda,Woolf,Faulkner the list goes on and on

I saw a bunch of Woolf books at the last library book sale but I ran out of cash on a stack of other books I had picked out.

One of my least favorite King movie adaptations, and the book, as I suspected, wasn't much better.

I have yet to read that which is shocking since I call myself an avid Stephen King fan.

The movie didn't impress me either though.
