I got it second hand, and a pretty good deal too, so it was certainly well worth the money.

i have never been a fan of the 7 string but thats just me. the stuff jeff loomis does on a 7 string is just insane.

me either. I owned a Schecter avenger 7-string. it was one of the first of the diamond series from Schecter. I think I got it back in 99. It just didn't fit me well. I thought I had to have one because I listened to a lot of Korn at that point, but it really was a useless string to me. but that's just my personal opinion. Karl loves his, I have a cousin who plays one in his band and wouldn't give it up for the world. I think he likes that he doesn't need to downtune.

is it just me, or are VHT amps way fucking overpriced? I was checking into them today, and they sound great. but for the amp features, there's better out there.

then again, the same could probably be said of Bogner and Diezel. although I heard a Diezel Herbert before and was impressed. not 4 grand impressed.

my wishlist (need to save for list, basically)
1- Rivera Knucklehead tre head. I figured I would buy the most expensive first.I have a grand for it right now. two more checks and it's mine!
2- Vader 2X12 cab. everything I've read about thier amps is positive. it was built for heavy, aggressive music. I would get the 4X12, but don't have room for it at the moment.
3- Jackson DKMGT. super fast jackson neck with preloaded EMG 81/85 :drools:

Those VHTs are supposed to be super-awesome though, but yeah, they are quite sickingly expensive.

I was actually looking at getting a Pitbull Ultra Lead before, there's one going on ebay that's not too expensive.

I heard some clips of the Deliverance that were pretty good. I couldn't hear any sound clips of the Pitbull, but that's the more popular one. but it doesn't have much in terms of a clean channel.

but yeah, the price is far too steep for me.

You should hear the cleans on some of the Engls. For such screaming high gain amps, they can do truly fantastic cleans, and I'm not exaggerating, it's astonishing.
