Cool Man My friend Has a 6505 them things are a beast. how are the blackouts compared to EMG's? I have been meaning to try them out.

You have more expression with the blackouts. To me, EMGs just sound so robotic. like, mainly a rhythm pickup for recording. I prefer the Blackouts since, IMO, they're cleaner than EMGs. I prefer to set my gain to about 5.5 on the peavey, and just crank the volume. That forces me to be a cleaner player, and the Blackouts pick up on that. They don't cover your mistakes with noise like most EMGs i've played around with.

Ya true I might get them installed in my project guitar I am working on. after I scallope the frets.

Yeah, a friend of mine recently purchased a guitar with EMG's and I allowed him to play it through my 6505+. It was muddy as hell. I'll stick with my Dimarzio's.

I am a guitarist, roughly been playing for 12 or 13 years now.
Mainly play Death metal and fusion
Gear:
Fractal Axe-Fx Ultra (preamp/effects unit) -> samson studio monitors
Steinberger GM4S
Ibanez J Custom RG 8127

Future add-on:
Vigier Excalibur or Suhr modern
QSC powered Monitors or Atomic cab for the fractal (whenever it comes out)
