Resurrect another dead 80s franchise..

Ghostbusters 1 & 2 are a lot of fun.. and I even saw 2 in the theatre when it came out.. The cartoon I remember as well.

I guess they are too scared to straight out remake it, since it is so well known and loved by many.. so they have to bring back the old cast, which is a terrible idea as they are way too old, so it will amount to nothing but cameos. So basically, it's a remake/semi-sequel anyway.

Yeah I was about to say, I heard he was going to do it, and that it had the green light, as it was only going to get done with him.

Then I heard that he wasn't on board. So it's not happening. I dunno what the fucks going on. I'm never going to believe it until it's confirmed filming begins, if ever.

It's never going to happen. Dan Aykroyd Recently said that it has to move forward in the next 3-4 months or it's never happening. He's tired of the whole will it/won't it happen. Also Aykroyd and Ramis own Ghostbusters so no one can ever do a movie without their involvement. Consider this movie dead.
I know this isn't 100% accurate but this is basically what's happening with ghostbusters 3.

I know this isn't 100% accurate but this is basically what's happening with ghostbusters 3.

Aykroyd and Ramis probably want to do it because their careers have been rather lacklustre as of late. Murray is pretty much the only one who is still successful. And I don't think he has done too much as of late either. But, he couldn't be starving for roles like the other two I'd imagine.

I can't speak for Ramis but Aykroyd seems pretty happy selling his vodka and playing blues. I don't really think any of these guys need another Ghostbusters film.

Couldn't disagree more. Expendables + ghosts = Ghostbusters 3. If they did it right. Hate to bring the title Expendables into it because I don't like those movies but it's a valid comparison.

Couldn't agree more. Since Moranis is out, they should hire the "hip" up-and-coming comic actor to play that type of role and leave the leads alone but we all know they won't do that.
