I just watched the first ep. of the Devil May Cry anime and even though it was in engrish it was pretty entertaining. Stylized with some good action.

This the same shit I get from people about me and my love for horror movies: Broad Generalizations with nothing to back up an argument except name calling.

Backhanded though it may be, I'll take being a freak as a compliment.

No, I got nothing against the "anime fans". I know some of them, although they are a little out there, they are still friends. I just don;t understand the whole "I love anime so much I am going to spike my hair up in all different directions" thing. Many of the fans do that and it's odd to me. They reak of pomade and hair gel.

I think there's a possible difference between anime fanboys and anime fans. I personally have never met a fan who's gone as far as trying to look like an anime character, but I guess in Japan it's a different story.

Ah, I see. Yeah, I'm pretty casual with anime myself. I can see were you're coming from with the cosplay stuff though, I have to deal with friends who're Naruto fanatics ( The headbands look recockilous, and I can't stand the show).
