I got the 1st DVD at Best Buy. I liked how it went from good quality to really bad quality.

While not my favorite Christmas slasher, Silent Night Deadly Night does disturb in a way that most slasher films of that time could never dream of. The opening and the backstory of Billy is horrific. It's much more horrifying than anything they could have strung together involving a masked killer and naked, sexed up, pot smoking teens.

Since Anchor Bay is so good at compiling horror movie box sets (like Bava's box set, Argento's box set, the Sleepaway Camp Trilogy, etc.), I would love for them to put together the entire Silent Night, Deadly Night series on DVD. I would easily pay for that set. The first two movies are fucking priceless.

I love Silent Night, Deadly Night. Part 2 isn't TERRIBLE but it's not great. It was too much of a flashback movie for me.
I've always found it funny that Mickey Rooney was a guy that protested the first movie but ended up acting in part 5. I know they weren't related but I still think it's amusing. Later, Nate |

I remember seeing this movie in the theatres in Dedham, MA way back in 1984 when I was just a young boy. Absolutely sick and vile and I loved every minute of it. NAUGHTY!

found this at best buy for 6.99 so i picked it up. i saw the film at the theater and remember the big stink about it. funny thing is that i couldn't remember much about the movie except the sled kill. its a pretty decent slasher film and more inventive then many of them from that time. well worth a watch an as i said its at best buy cheap so worth getting if you don't have it.
