Been thinking about reading some of these:

They're out of print and expensive as hell on Amazon, but there are a lot of positive reviews from people who sound like total gorehounds and Friday afficionados. Me wantee.

Not the biggest fan of Kane Hodder's Jason. I like Jason in parts 2, 3 & 4 way more.

But those Friday the 13th novels look interesting, anyway.

Is it Ted White who played "Jason" in Part 4? I think it is..and he was GREAT!! His lumbering presence and body movements were spot on.

I feel the same way, but at the same time, I love Kane's attitude. Kane's jasons doesn't need a machete, he'll just bash your skull in.

I'm in absolutely love with F13 Part 7 & will defend it to the death. Not only was it filmed in my state(not in my town sadly) it also has this sci-fi feel to it.

i appreciate kane, in the same way i do glen strange; not the greatest, but a hard-working stunt-person who gave his all. i do prefer ted white, and honestly, i love derek mears from the reboot.

Kane's alright in a big daft galumph kind of way but the latter Friday films were a bag of shit so who cares how well that daft lump walked. The best sequel is part 6 and Jasey babes was a right skinny little beggar in that one.
