Just paid a ridiculous scalper's price on ebay to see Weezer play Pinkerton in its entirety in NYC.

The tickets officially went on sale at 10 this morning but they were already gone because American Express customers get first dibs the week before. So scalpers with American Express cards clear out everything before anybody else gets a chance. Fuck Ticketmaster.

And hopefully this auction isn't a goddamn scam.

Literally just home from Robert Plant and The Band of Joy! Awesome show, totally rocked! Started off with an amazing duo of Justin Adams, a blues guitarist, and Juldeh Camara, a Gambian master musician playing the Ritti, a one-stringed fiddle. These guys were genuinely amazing and definitely got everyone in the mood for Robert Plant coming on with a few friends, notably Buddy Miller, Darrell Scott and the lovely Patty Griffith.

They did a fair few Zeppelin covers tonight! Interesting versions too. "Misty Mountain Hop", "Tangerine", "Houses of The Holy", "Gallows Pole", and encored with "Rock and Roll". He also did "Tall Cool One" and "Please read the letter that i wrote" along with some new songs of his from his album with The Band of Joy.

One of the best shows i've been to. Aint saw anything like it in a long, long time, and was so glad to finally fulfil my wish of seeing a member of Led Zeppelin. I'd actually been queueing up for hours and was about the tenth person into the venue, i was front row for the entirety of the show, about ten feet from Robert. Really was a top marks concert. The only thing was the crowd were a bit quiet tonight for him, possibly due to it being a no-alcohol policy inside the venue.

Think my bronchitis is developing into something more serious but fuck it I'm off to Roger Waters tonight! Four hour drive but will be well worth it. Can't wait to see The Wall live.

Saw Guided by Voices Sat night. Was stunned - Bob actually looks good. 10 yrs ago, he was about to drop dead onstage. Smokin' show!
