Default The Human Vapor (1960)

Toho studios made a very unconventional and enjoyable film with this little outing, and veteran actor Yoshio Tsuchiya cemented his penchant for playing tortured souls for years to come. This film is originally titled Gasu Ningen Daiichigo or The Gas Man. While dated, there are no wires or visible bad effects in the film, and it's a fairly serious stab at science fiction that has elements of Universal's The Invisible Man and Phantom Of The Opera w\regard to the love affair deal. I just got the DVD from Video Daikaiju and the quality is dead on. Anyone looking for a departure from Toho's Godzilla films will enjoy this one as it keeps it's pace and has some nice special effects to boot. Nice for 1960, anyway
