Default Eyes of Laura Mars (1978)

i've never seen it but i've come across it on netflix and it seems interesting, with a could cast. but what really piqued my interest was that john carpenter wrote it. i don't recall ever hearing him mention it though. maybe he doesn't like it? either way, should i give it a rental?

It was based on an earlier script of his (same with "Silent Predators"), but it's a decent film.

"Eyes Of Laura Mars"......A solid suspense thriller starring Faye Dunaway and Tommy Lee Jones. Both leads are terrific, but did find that Faye irked me in a few of her dramatic/suspenseful moments. We witness the killings through "Laura Mars'" eyes. Its very stylish and all that, but we dont actually see what is done to the victim. We just see their bodies after the attacks. Awesome cinematography, top notch music score, terrific art direction, solid ensemble acting, and fine directing all highlight the movie. Special mentions to Brad Dourif in a fine supporting turn and John Carpenter for an awesome screenplay.

8/10
