It's the nostalgia factor for me. I loved it when it came out, and I still enjoy watching it every once in a while.

Hmm. Brandon Lee couldn't act for shit. Agreed. But there is a certain cultural and generational aspect to this movie that made it extremely relevant at the time. I still have some fondness for this movie, prolly always will. It's easily the best of the franchise, plus it had a good score, some good characters, some good dialog, and some good action. nothing great, but i can't say it's lame. i just can't.

QFT. Tim Burton's fight scene choreography is embarrassing as hell in those movies. Michael Keaton throws incredibly basic martial arts, and all these goons go flying. It's total weak sauce.

i don't mind remakes that much, in some cases i like them better than the original (TCM and the thing come to mind), it doesn't really affect the original movie in any way, but in this case, the idea behind the remake is pretty shitty. change what you want about it, but the feel of the movie shouldn't be changed up.
