CAT III film appreciation

I'm treading on new grounds in film, and Category IIIs are what I have my current eye on.

Category III movies originate in Hong Kong and are "so extreme(in sex and/or violence)" that there was needed, a rating system that could distinguish them from the rest. They're the equivalent to the American NC-17.

A few titles that are well known:

the Men Behind the Sun series

Riki-Oh(The Story of Ricky)

Dr Lamb

The Untold Story

Softcore pornography aside, I'm really only seeking and watching the bizarre n' violent. I'll gladly accept any recommendation(s).
Here are a few titles that don't really see the limelight that I enjoy(anything similar would be appreciated):
Ebola Syndrome
Devil Fetus
Calamity of Snakes

Also i have heard "Mermaid in a Manhole" is really twisted but is kind of hard to find. From what i have heard about the movie it sounds like an older, more gorier "Marebito", but i have not seen it yet so can't really confirm that. It could even be Japanese.

I remember reading somewhere that Herman Yau (director Ebola Syndrome) made a lot of movies that fit into the Cat III rating. I could be wrong.

Both Marebito and the Guinea Pig series come from the good land of Japan. CAT III rated movies are from Hong Kong.

The Guinea Pig series can be found @ Amazon for 25 dollars each on DVD, new(double features).

I've been meaning to check out Marebito. I love movies that take place or are based around dark subway systems(End of the Line, Moebius, Kontroll). I want to say that Marebito doesn't contain the extreme content I'm searching for, though.

I've got Yau's Taxi Hunter in queue. He also die-rected The Untold Story.

My friends call me weird for liking these movies, but screw em .. better then watching Sin City or Shawshank over and over

Thanks for the Amazon tip. I've never purchased anything from the site before so i will check it out.

Other than Story of Ricky and Ebola Syndrome i don't think i have seen many CAT III rated films, it's something i will have to look into more. Let us know if Taxi Hunter is any good.

Seeding of a Ghost is must-see material if you're into this type o' shit. The Boxer's Omen also comes into mind, which, to me, is the greater of the two. Devil Fetus is another title that just contains strange bs throughout. Fun stuff.

I'm looking for other titles like these, if anyone can help.

I actually just looked this over today and it sounds really cool, with Lau and Wong it seems you can't go wrong.
