I'm not saying it needs to be super real but when he puts an amount of detail into these movies that make it feel like it could be something in real life, stiletto heels just doesn't feel right. I would more believe shows that have retractible claws like the switchblade shoe that makes her more lethal and/or able to climb things but it just hard to imagine that someone wearing high heels is an expert at much of anything when it comes to thieving and ass kicking...although if they are going with the hooker routine for Selina Kyle's routes then I guess I can believe heels, after all, "if a woman can run in heels that means she's a hooker." I think it's more of how Nolan approaches the material, explains it, and takes it seriously that gives it the illusion of realism. Like, if I can buy a guy in a bat costume (and cape) successfully fighting the mob, a criminal mastermind, or the League using a device that vaporized all water, yet didn't affect humans, to try and poison a major city with "fear gas", then Catwoman's high heels shouldn't be a issue.
