And you know they're gonna make that look totally real in post production. It's amazing what they can do with movies these days...

This is gonna be pretty off topic, but wanted to throw it out somewhere...
I saw this poster, as I'm sure others have as well: ![]() ... and it got me thinking, could Pee-Wee/Paul Rubens play the Riddler? There's two things things about this idea, him as the actor, but also the dynamic he brings to my mind even if a more serious actor was cast. In Nolan's Batverse, the Riddler, while in "Riddler-mode" could be a played to farce, that is in a mocking manner to those around him, (I.E. a Pee-Wee-ish persona). THEN, when the Riddler is away from the public eye, he drops out of "Riddler-mode" and becomes a diabolic planner, something more like Paul Rubens is in Blow, or like the the "bad-ass" he was in Buffy minus the comedy of that role. Regardless of tapping Paul Rubens to play the part (hypothetically speaking), the dynamic of a Riddler that acts one way in public, but another way behind the scenes seems to me a way to make the character work in the Nolan Batverse. Thoughts?

Hag, that last picture wasn't really tire-slashing worthy. :/
And the Letterman thing is sadly most likely true because Letterman is getting old and is turning into a honey badger. They just didn't play it off like a joke and Letterman is starting to get a reputation doing dumb things like that.

And riddled works in Nolan-verse regardless how he is played. Truth is the only characters that would be really hard to do without serious alterations are the sci-fi supernatural characters like Freeze, Creeper and Man-Bat. Croc and Ivy can easily be "normal" enough to work without serious alterations.

I will say this much......I have always considered that to be the possible ending for this.....so I'm pretty calm about what he said. I'll find out at the very first showing at midnight in my area. But if it is the true ending, he is a complete fucking douche for ruining it for everyone who hasn't considered that a possibility...........

Problem is, it's completely understandable why Nolan chose to go with Bane instead of the Riddler. With the Nolan's having Ledger's Joker playing mind games in The Dark Knight, the notion of having the Riddler as the follow up villain would have been redundant to say the least. |
