"The Road".....A terrific movie with a sensational leading performance by Viggo Mortensen. Robert Duvall and Charlize Theron were terrific in the brief scenes they were in. A nicely done supporting performance by the young Kodi Smit-McPhee. The sets and scenes are terrific of a world gone to hell and destroyed. They filled you with dread ,despair,sadness, and loneliness. Yet through it all u kept the faith and u had hope for the characters. Wanting and wishing for them to survive as they moved on and on. Great cinematography and art direction, wonderful music score,suspense,drama,heartbreak, and solid directing also highlight the movie. It is a real shame the movie and Viggo failed to net Oscar nominations for Best Picture and Best Actor. Viggo deserved his 2nd career nomination for delivering a stunning,moving, and heartbreaking performance. A movie I will never forget!!
