"Sleepy Hollow (1999)"......A terrific version of Washington Irving's classic horror story/fairytale. The movie embodies Tim Burton's unique take on one of the most well-known horror tales of all time, with a few new plot twists and greater character development. It also includes a dark past for Ichabod Crane and a "story behind the story" of what's going on in the haunted town. The cast is well rounded, but obviously it's Johnny Depp who steals the show with his intuitive and sometimes over-the-top portrayal of the anti-hero, "Ichabod Crane", who displays admirable bravery while at the same time often succumbing to fear. Christina Ricci is good(found her performance and character a bit bland in some parts) as "Katrina", and Miranda Richardson is fine in the role of "Lady Van Tassel". The movie features some wonderful atmosphere, lavish art direction, beautiful costumes, detailed special effects, and solid music score. Also special mention goes out to the wonderful Christopher Walken as the "Headless Horseman".

I also watched Sleepy Hollow and give it a 9/10 as well. My only gripe is Walken having been miscast as the Horseman. The look of the forestal scenes is superb.

Lovely Molly. Not great but I still quite enjoyed it. It lacked originality but the lead girl gives a memorable performance. It could have done with a bit more explanation too.

Ichi the killer, is a highly recommendable film for moviegoers looking for new experiences.

It's a film that does not take itself seriously, is full of extremely violent scenes, often greatly exaggerated, but with a great sense of humor, very macabre. Also the story is delightfully absurd.
