The Hobbit- They probably should have made these right after LOTR. ian Mckellan looks tired, and Christopher Lee looks ready to be mummified. l liked it overall though, but someone should tell Peter Jackson that it doesn't have to be as epic as LOTR. The birdshit on Radagast was a nice touch. Didn't see that coming.

Skyfall- Best Daniel Craig Bond film. Lots of surprises in this one, including appearances by classic characters that are reintroduced into the franchise in bold new ways, and a lot of nods to vintage Bond films.

Paranorman- Such a boring little piece of shit movie with a horrible story and even worse animation. i couldn't even finish it, what with it sucking donkey balls and all.

I did find that disgusting, really.

The 400 Blows - 9/10

Actually, I think this is the first Truffaunt film I've ever seen. I really enjoyed it. Fun at the beginning and turns sad really fast. Just a child who gets caught up in a harsh world, and a lovely remnant of an earlier time. I enjoyed it.

I remember that this was one of the very first films from Criterion, which went OOP. Luckily, I could obtain in time a copy for myself.

Maniac - easily one of the best serial killer movies ever. Nothing in the remake will top Zito's au natural baloney tits. 10/10

Hatchet - First watch. Quite fun, how can one not like this love letter to '80s horror? 7/10

The Ward
Crazy girl gets institutionalised in a mental hospital and experiences strange things inside that thing.
Oh man, what a huge pile of monkey and donkey shit that was. Didn't even know that shit can be piled up so high, but this "film" convinces you otherwise. I am really sorry for Carpenter, he definitely lost it with this rape of a movie.
I want my time back - now!

The Lookout - Pretty damn good. JGL plays a guy with a head injury, akin to Guy Pierce's character in Memento. He has to write things down, and work things out in his own way, to keep records, and make some kind of sense of his everyday activities. Eventually, he gets involved with some bank robbers, and lots of shit hits the fan. My only gripe, would be the sentimental ending, that made the movie less about what happened in the film, and more about understanding disabled people. It was really off, and ended the movie on whimper.

Overall though, fun movie, with some great performances. Jeff Daniels is really good in this, as JGL's blind friend form the same "disabled peoples" program as well. One of his better performances, that kind of fell under the radar.

8/10
