Superman III
Definite drop off in quality, but still an entertaining sequel nevertheless. The scenes involving Bad Superman, along with the junkyard battle are great. |

Comedy/Stand-up comedy...
Dance Fu - Stupid, yet funny movie starrring Kel Mitchel (keenan and kel, good burger) as the hero Chicago, a street dancer, and the villain, Pretty Eyed Willie, a makeup wearing club owner (obvious homage to shownuff from The Last Dragon) Once Chicago's uncle is killed he figures he must learn kung-fu to take out PEW, but he learns that he can only perform kung-fu, while in the act of dancing... yes, it's stupid. But, the movie is held together by Kels performans as PEW. It had me chuckling a few times, but I couldn't recommend this to anyone, unless you are a huge Cedric the Entertainer fan, and want to see his first directing effort. 7.5/10 Aziz Ansari: Dangerously Delicious - love this guy. Funny in a modern Seinfeld kinda way. Highlights include a funny new years story about how he wasn't funny on new years, and his random thoughts on getting lost in the internet, when you really just meant to look up one thing. 8.5/10 Bill Burr: Why Do I Do This Bill Burr: Let it Go Bill Burr: Your People Are All the Same - Never heard of this guy until netflix gave his specials all 5 star ratings for me, so I checked it out, and spent 3 hours last night laughing my ass off. I guess he uses his anger to tell funny stories, and it works so well. Stories about his pet pitbulls emotions being taken from him, and why it should be ok to hit women in context (with multiple examples) will have you rolling. 10's/10's Martial Arts... The Chinese Connection (better known as Fists of Fury) - TCC first this movies plot better than FOF, and the latter better represents Bruce's 2nd movie, so that's what I go with. Anyways.... hadn't seen this in years, and it was so much better than I remembered. Ya, it's so goofy, and the comedy is really cringe worthy.... But Bruces screen presence is really all you need. I can watch Bruce kick ass all day. This movie has a decent drug smuggling plot, and also has so much blood, and vicious assaults, that I definitely thought it fit in with the exploitation flicks of the time. In one scene, you clearly see a guy get his arm chopped off with a saw, but the movie just cuts away afterwords to Bruce doing another move. Anyways, this is prob my second fave film of his. 9/10 The Game of Death - hmmm. Mixed on this one. On the one hand you have the absolutely fucking awesome fight scenes with Bruce (some of his best imo), on the other hand you have the horrible editing, and cut and paste shit to make it look as if Bruce was still in the movie. It was just horrible. Worth a watch though. 7/10 Bruce Lee: The Legend - Documentary from the 80's or 90's I believe (it says 77, but some info couldn't have been said then) about Bruces life from early childhood, until death. Never knew he was in the original Green Hornet. Never knew he was chinese american. Very informative, and heart breaking. Give it a watch if you're a fan. 10/10 Films of Fury: The Kung Fu Movie Movie - awesome doc reliving the history of the Kung Fu film. Shows all the mainstream favs (Bruce, Jet, Jackie), as well as the pioneers of directing, and new age wonders like Donnie Yen. 9/10 Duel to the Death - The Heroic Trio - essentially an American Comic book type story, told from the asian pov, so it gets just a little bit weirder. It has this goofy feeling, with tons of inappropriate comedy (perhaps it was just the goofy dub voices), but it does boast a good, almost cyberpunk like atmoshpere, and it does also have a big set of balls. (the whole plot is based off kidnapping babies from hospitals, and a few of them even die on camera...) 8/10 And now for the finale..... The Dark Knight Returns II - When superman got nuked, and lost his healing powers, I literally sat up in my chair like "HOLY SHIT!" This will be one of those movies that I continually revisit throughout the year. 10/10 |

The Devil's Carnival - 3.5/5 Strange and entertaining. Wonder if they'll do a sequel.
Schizo - 3/5 Eh, remember this being better then it was.

I hate the Game of Death, though. A exploitive film that's disrespectful to the legend himself. The actual Bruce Lee footage is amazing, though and even better in it's uncut glory. |

"Suspiria".......This is one of the best horror movies ever made. Dario Argento is a master horror director. The art direction in this movie is absolutely gorgeous. The deaths are shocking as hell. I felt sorry for the character of Sarah. But as always..when a good character knows too much or is suspicious..they get killed off. There is an interesting mix of characters...but there is also some laughable campy dialogue. The directing is great..and there are some awesome scares in the movie as well. The music score is eerie, haunting, and fantastic!! Wonderful cinematography, some great gore, a few standout performances(Tess Harper,Joan Bennett, and Alida Valli) and a chilling screenplay about witchcraft highlight the movie too...making Suspiria a top notch horror classic! Brilliant!
10/10

Laserblast (197
I can now see why MST3K riffed this on their show. The acting is bad and the direction is shoddy but it has a B-movie charm to it. Watching some kid blow up shit left and right was fun and the stop motion FX work was incredible. Definitely the highlight of the film. 7/10 |
