Default Shout Factory: DVD/Bluray Releases!

What are some of the best movie transfers this company has released so far? What are some of the worst? Not bad, poor, etc?

The collectors edition of Halloween 2 is put together rather nicely. But the dialogue in the movie is rather low in many places. Perhaps due to the remastered audio track.

In My Opinion...

Best:

The Fog
Death Valley
The Nest
The Funhouse
From Beyond
Town That Dreaded Sundown

Disappointing:

They Live (not bad, but could be better)
Phantasm II (again, not terrible, but disappointing)
Dark Angel (looks okay at best)

Damn it. That sucks. I was really looking forward to making an upgrade over the bare bones DVD release. Eh, I'll probably still spring for it anyways. Good news about From Beyond though.

Anybody got an inkling on whether or not Scarecrows (198 is something they'd put out? I mean cocksuckers are asking 20 bucks for used copies of the uncut DVD on Amazon so I'd rather just wait until Shout rolls out a Blu Ray of it.

They did an awesome job on The Slumber Party Massacre collection, especially with the documentary.

Popcorn has already been scheduled for a blu ray release from Synapse Films.

Night Of The Demons is probably the best overall release Scream Factory has put out thus far. If you're going to get any Scream Factory release, this is the one to own.

My top 3 Scream Factory releases....

1. Night Of The Demons
2. Terrorvision/ The Video Dead
3. The Burning
