Their voices meshed well yes, but there were distinctive differences.. there's just somethings vocally jerry can't and couldn't pull off that layne did with ease. A prime example being the opening to man in the box.. I can't imagine anyone one but layne belting out the opening "I'MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM" or anyone ever attempting to recreate the haunting howls from nutshell. Impossible. Yes there are certain songs jerry did more or less on his own, like "heaven beside you", or "over now".. but still... it's just not alice without layne damn it.

loving this song. it grew on me about halfway through.
Jerry's vocal parts are still the fuckin best shit ever. killer chorus in this one.

New track's pretty cool. But this means more shows. I'm going to go to the House of Blues date in Chicago.

I saw them play at a small theater in Mt. Clemens MI a couple of years ago and holy shit! Two and a half hours later I walked out of the best concert I have ever seen, period. They played the same set the entire tour. Had I known, I'd have tried to see them more than once.
