Far Cry 3 - Just finished it. Now this is an FPS with some meat on it's bones. It does get a little redundant near the end, and I would've preferred some deeper RPG elements, but for what it is, it's pretty awesome. It's an open world FPS, with loads of weapons, and millions of things to shoot at, and has a damn good campaign to boot. I left a good half of the map unexplored, and still clocked in at 20 hours. If the FPS genre is your thing, you can't get much better.

Hmm. I think the first play throughs of the Metroid Prime franchise I clocked longer than 20 hours. Up near 40 for one of them. But some of the puzzles are mind destroying, and there was a lot, and I mean, a lot of back tracking.

How is FC3 to Boarderlands 2? I'm not really a fan of BL. It was cool for 10 minutes but there is nothing new. It's just the same old crap with a boring ass story. I'm only comparing the two as they sort of get tabbed FPS RPG.

Metal Gear Rising, picked it up today at Gamestop and my fucking god it is awesome as hell. The graphics are insanely good and the control is the best in the series thus far. I absolutely love it!

I suppose but I've never really been a fan of MGS. I was just curious. My brother has told me that he doesn't like it very much, but it looks pretty fun.

It stars an MGS character, and was originally conceived and developed by Kojima YEARS ago. Platinum games actually saved it from being cancelled. So no, it's not some slap dash cash in, you seem to think it is.

Which is why it's called Metal Gear Rising. You know, a spinoff.......starring a cybernetic ninja.......who we saw in MGS4 jumping 50ft in the air, doing flips and shit, while slicing up walking mechs with his cybernetic katana blade. What is so fucking hard to understand about this? It's an action game, and it should be!

They're far different. FC3 is a true FPS. No health points, or stat buffers. Just shooting lots of animals, and jungle pirates dead.
