BTW I don't think Keenan belongs in the Hall i'm just saying he is a 2 time superbowl champion over 600 yards in the postseason with 6 touchdowns michael only had 8 in the postseason.

Uh, you miss the part where I pointed out that McCardell is a protypical stat compiler? He played 4 more seasons than Irvin did.

Stats & most importantly postseason performance. He also helped define his position in his era. And during his peak years he was better than all those receivers you listed with the exception of maybe Tim Brown

michael irvin was the motherfucking heartbeat of the dallas cowboys. his stats were fine, but his contributions went beyond stats (and his career was cut short, and his first three seasons were shortened by injury, and the all-time leading runner in nfl history was accounting for most of the yards and touchdowns). nobody practiced harder, no one worked harder, no one wanted it more than michael. he absolutely belongs in the hall-of-fame, and he played big always. you ever see michael irivn drop a pass or shy away from a block or give up on a route or fail to hustle down the field whether he was involved in the play or not? michael irvin was a great player and personally, i miss him desperately. he's right where he blongs.

now, if only my man coulda kept his nose outta the powder. i promise you, we would have won in 96, too...

No i'm saying the hall looks at all the combined attributes to make someone Hall worthy and if they were drafted 12th it's a good story. McCardell has decent postseason stats and played in less postseason games than Michael.

Is he better than Jimmy Smith? Better than Rod Smith,Andre Reed + his playoffs stats?

ok Michael is lengths and bounds better than them? Yeah Right.

A flashy 1st round draft pick WILL always be looked at more than a 7th round draft pick.

That's the short list of eligible players that belong in the hall way before Michael Irvin.

Looks like Irvin's best was better than Brown's best. As for TD's it's probably worth considering Irvin set up 15-20 of Emmitt's TD's with tight rope catches inside the 5-yard line. I'll let you do the legwork on those other guys. I do think it's precious that you think McCardell was better than Irvin. Hint: his most receiving yards in a season was 1,207.
