Phantasm Series - BLOODY-DISGUSTING

Now while the Phantasm series is not the scariest franchise in the world, to me it has always been the coolest. It has the creepy factor, which many modern movies are missing. It also has good action and the silver spheres.

For all fans of the series, I have a few questions for you...

1) what do you think of Phantasm?

2) what was your favoeite movie & why?

3) Would you like to see another sequel?
3a) Would would the plot for a sequel? Where could it take place? What interesting characters would you bring to the series?

4) Would you like to see a remake?

I LOVE the first 3, hated the 4, and would love to try out a new sequel. No, no remake and LONG LIVE THE SPHERE!

I absolutely love the Phantasm films. The 1st 3 are great and the 4th was only so/so. The fact each film is designed to remind you of those nightmares we occasionally have and can hardly remember what the hell happened when we wakeup is what makes each film pure genius. Each film is strange, scary, funny, and totally ambiguous, yet every person who sees them takes away a different feeling.

As long as the same cast was used, I'd watch the sequels from now until the end of time. That's why a remake would suck. It just wouldn't be the same without Angus Scrimm and Reggie Bannister.

Like kidd, I love the phantasm series.. Shit, the original is phantasm is one of my earliest horror obsessions. My favourite would easily be the first, followed by the second. And yes, I am completely down with a 5th instalment.. and would actually prefer it over the 3 "remakes" or "reworkings" last I knew they had planned.

Oh, and you might wanna rename the thread.. you mis-spelt it.. just go edit and click advance.. then rename.

1. i loved it.

2. part 1. just because it's the original storyline and the very first spere kill is so classic and wicked

3. No. The series has died out.
3A. see part 3

4. God no.

Phantasm is one of my favorite franchises. I liked Phantasm 2 the best probably because I think it had the coolest spheres and Reggie made the 4 barrel shotgun. That is way too cool.

2) The first, because it's the strongest of the bunch
3) Sure, why not. There's always room for more "Phantasm"

Yeah, 4 wasn't that great. I was left disappionted myself. probably because the budget was so low that they couldn't afford to do much (it cost about $650,000). They even used deleted scenes of the first movie as 'flashbacks'.
