The book is a masterpiece in my opinion. Also I heard this documentary will be feature length, so it'll have lot's of content that fans of this movie will just eat up.

I'll look for the book tomorrow when I'm out.

This doco does look good. I haven't seen any behind the scenes stuff on this film before so I'm eager for this.

It's a chilling book and a poignant exploration of death, definitely one of King's best.

I'm interested in seeing the documentary.

It's been years since I've seen the movie and even longer since I read the book. Maybe I'll try to re-read the book and watch the movie again before the doc comes out.

I wonder how much footage they have of Fred Gwynne.

You won't be disappointed. When I first started reading this book, I found it really hard to put down. Also, it'll give you the creeps if you're reading it in a secluded place all alone.....great feeling of dread.

I believe I read that they have quite a bit of footage of him, plus they've also interviewed his widow.

Yep, it's a hell of a good read. I'm a slow reader, but I think I finished it 3-4 days. Almost everything I've read by King has been difficult to put down.

That's cool. It's been a long time since I've seen the movie, but I remember enjoying his character more than the others. I didn't have that same fondness for the character in the book though.

It is a great book, though not my favorite of his, and this documentary looks like it may be interesting. While I like the original film, I do wish it could've been better. It doesn't quite capture the sense of dread that runs through the books pages.
