- - "Just wanna share a few of my favorite horror films.
1.The Descent-I love the claustrophobic atmosphere in this film,and the creature work rocked as well.
2.The Shinning(80)-I adore this film,its one of Kubricks best,and The twin scene still really disturbs me.This is one of the best horror films ever made in my opinion.
3.The Evil Dead-Sam Raimi’s raw visual style is so gripping in his first film.I also prefer this film to the much more popular sequels simply cause I feel like evil dead worked better as horror,as opposed to the comedic tone that followed after.As a child the Tree rape scene scared the shit out of me.As well as the deadite in the cellar.
4.Scream-I liked how smart and self aware this film was,was kinda ruined by scary movie 1 but still love this film and the series very much.This film was one of Wes Cravens best films cause it was equally scary and funny.
5.The Exorcist-This film has has many imitators or people who wanted to copy it,but simply this film can never be duplicated or improved on cause it is just one of the few perfect horror films.The last 20 mins always bothered me even as a child.The lighting and music are the highlights of the movie as well.
