not a big fan of remakes,but i liked it,but i also love the original and a lot about it, i liked how the parents killed krugs crew better in the og, in the remake Wheres the Chainsaw? lol

I own both films, and I like the remake better. I cant stand the original really. The remake remains one of the better horror remakes as of late and is still one of my personal favorite films I have seen this year.

I own both but I really prefer the remake.

This is one remake I actually enjoyed. I can’t say it’s better than the original, but it was well done.

The original just had this…dirty feel to it. The folk music playing, while all this horrible stuff is going on just made it creepy as hell. It’s one of those ” I need to take a shower” after watching it flicks.

The remake is better from a technical standpoint but the original has a crude,sleazy feel to it!:eck:

I own them both on DVD. The original is great and the remake is amazing. It’s much better than the original. I prefer the remake, too.

When you see Richard Dreyfuss’s character goes in the shark cage, it is not actually him. It is a small person or dwarf, in a shark cage. They did this to make the real sharks in the movie look bigger.

Steven Spielberg’s real-life dog played Brody’s dog in the film.

Side Note: Shark Week starts tonight.:banana:

-The reporter on the beach is Peter Benchly

-Councilman (dark hair blue suit) when they catch the tiger shark is the guy that rewrote the script.

-Also the scene when the shark is rolling on top of the cage that is a real shark that had gotten tangled in the line when a camera crew was filming sharks for the movie.

talk about irony! robert shaw was actually drunk during most of the movie,yet they did multiple takes of the scene where they drink on the orca because he kept blowing it.they had to sober him up to act drunk !!
