This is easily the most shocking movie I’ve ever seen. There are hundreds of animals being killed and even some people. There are also many scenes that are very sweet and beautiful. On one of the Mondo Cane box set DVD extras, the directors say they made this film as a response to the criticism that their previous film Africa Addio was racist. When this film came out it was accused of being even more racist than Africa Addio and if you’ve seen the film– it’s easy to see why.
