• Any fans of Les Yeux Sans Visage? (Eyes Without A Face)… more than a Billy Idol song, it is a seriously creepy flick from around the same era as Psycho.

• Huge fan of Inside…. and does anyone remember HIGH TENSION? ”I wont let anyone come between us anymore” is one of the scariest lines from a movie that still haunts my nightmares!

• Check out the EVIL DEAD 2013 group…

HOLY SHIT…. This was my favorite movie of 09 in a landslide victory for me. Just awesome. Great cast. I thought Pitt would ruin it but he nailed his part well. Christoph Waltz was just epic in this movie. The Bear Jew was probably the funniest thing in this movie as far as comedy goes. And how they totally casted Adolf as a whiny little bitch.…[Read more]

That show was my favorite show growing up and when looking for other films and shows years later I discovered the Evil Dead trilogy( with help from my friend who made me watch the trilogy and…[Read more]

• ya i just bought the whole series of brisco county ….its hard to find … but ya his role as autolycus in hercules and xena also gave me a good laugh lol watch my name is bruce its hilarious lol

• I loved his role in Bubba Ho-Tep more so than any of this other work (besides The Evil Dead trilogy).

• lol thats one big bitch cockroach everytime i hear him say that it craks me up or when he says hes got a growth on his pecker lmao!!!!

• My Name is Bruce and Mindwarp

• No movie will beat the Evil Dead trilogy. I was watchin The Love Bug yesterday in french and he was good, it was pure Bruce, maybe because of the dubb. Even if he didnt have a big part i taught Congo was a good movie too

• My name is Bruce is my pick.

• Bubba Ho-Tep, with My Name Is Bruce a close second.. can’t wait for the sequel! And Brisco County Jr. rocked. I’ve been scouring the town for that and still haven’t managed to turn a copy up.. haven’t searched the interwebs for it either, though.

• not a movie but i love burn notice.slightly lacking on seeing his films.

• Bubba Ho-Tep

• just saw evil dead for the first time…epic!

• I watched Burn Notice the other day and all I could think about was him My Name is Bruceing it up behind the scenes.

Bubba Ho-Tep – Everybody likes Bubba Ho-Tep! Damn straight, Dish Dog!

• Not a movie… but he did some voice over work for Seth Green’s show ROBOT CHICKEN that was pretty entertaining! “Hello I’m Bruce Campbell and every morning I like to polish my morning wood”.
And when he did Brisco County Jr… YUMMMMMM!

• My Name Is Bruce

• Maniac Cop. Love that movie!! Also The Man With The Screaming Brain. It’s just awful, but I can’t help it!:he:

• Maniac cop and maniac cop 2 (for what short part he is in it)

• MINDWARP I like it even if Bruce doesn’t!

• i loved the trilogy, but id say bubba ho tep

• My favorite would have to be My Name is Bruce. For any fan its a fucking classic!

But for Bruce’s performance it’d have to be Bubba Ho-Tep, hands down.

• mY name is Bruce

i couldnt stop playing it over and over !!!!!!!!
like 4 or 5 x!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LMFAO when he drank the pee lemonade

So what’s your favorite? Cabin Fever? Hostel? Hostel Part II?

It’s tough for me to choose a favorite but I’ll go with Hostel Part II.

• Agreed. ‘Hostel: Part II’ is Eli Roth’s most accomplished film so far. I’m looking forward to ‘Thanksgiving’.

• The first Hostel’s my favorite of the bunch but they all have their own qualities that make them great. I do agree with the consensus that Hostel: Part II is his most mature film to date and does show that he’s growing as a film maker and Cabin Fever is a very fun Evil Dead style gore fest.

• ‘Cabin Fever’ was a competent debut and very entertaining. ‘Hostel’ was an even better follow up, with ‘Hostel: Part II’ being Eli Roth’s best work so far. He’s still honing his skills as a filmmaker, but it is evident film by film, that he is becoming a better director with each one. They’ve all been good so far, and in the near future he will…[Read more]

• Cabin Fever :D .

• Hostel II for sure. I was on the edge of my seat. It was super bloody and sadistic. I loved the scene where Heather Matarazzo was hanging by her feet naked and was sliced up and bled to death while another woman bathed in her blood!

• My favorite Eli Roth movie is definitely ‘HOSTEL Part II’ – as a girl I can say there is nothing misogynistic about this movie (as many critics have said)! Eli Roth has created one of the best final girls ever seen on screen! Just awesome! And Cabin Fever is a great homage to ‘night of the living dead’ and ‘Evil Dead’, silent and creepy like the virus!

• cabin fever

• favourite has to be hostel part 1.
i thought cabin fever was pretty cool too – the bath scene..CRINGE.
but the only thing i have to say about him…Peaches Geldof? Really?!

• I would have to choose ‘Hostel’, though ‘Hostel II’ was more deliciously bloody.
I did dig ‘Cabin Fever’ too but not enough blood and gore for me.

• Hostel. One of my favorite flicks of all time.

• cabin fever was shown as a “secret”show in texas at an old abandoned haunted insane asylum, projected on the wall, the audence did not know what was going to play, but i think…..
they could have mixed wrong turn 1 and cabin fever into the same movie, that would have been good, just take out all the cheeze from wt1 add the good parts to cabin…[Read more]

THIS WAS THE BEST HORROR MOVIE THE YEAR SO FAR!!!!

• Best horror in years imo.

Seen it twice already.

Raimi’s nuances like the hand shadow stretching up on the wall when the kid was dragged to hell in the begining are awesome. I remember a few more standing out but I can’t think of them right now.

• Totally a great film. Got to go to NY to see a pre screening. A couple of my buds went to go see it and they said it sucked. They said it was soooo predictable and not scary. UGH It wasn’t supposed to be! It supposed to be a fun film filled with scares, good story, and humor. People just dont get raimi.

• Seeing this tonight and next Saturday. Hopefully I like it tonight or I am not going next saturday.

• mmyersisgod o you will like it !!!!!!!!

• Somebody told me you like everything everybody else likes, mmig, so… ;)

• I thought it was gr8 and I’m not a fan of sam raimi’s “spiderman” series either…bleagh toby mcguire :?

But horror is my genre…just booked a role in a biker/horror film by the guys who did “The Hamiltons” and the remake of “April Fool’s Day” …stoked

• I live in Australia and have to wait til Christmas Eve for it to be released here :bonk:

• hey guys i really enjoyed the movie it was awesome:)

• the end was epic

i thought she was going to live and that it was going to be a happy ending

• Bring on The Horde!

• Nice.

• I am a big fan of Ils, Martyrs,Inside, and haute Tension..

That being said..anyone becoming a big fan of the new wave of norwegian horror thats been coming lately?

• What are some good Norwegian films?

• I liked Dod Sno, Fritt Vilt both parts but the second was best, and Manhunt, I also hear vilmark is really good,

• Thanks acp I will check them out.

• how do they compare to the French stuff in terms of gore and general brutality?

• French horror pones and dominates! Forever the French..at least til’ some other country shows us what’s up in terms of nice movies, but for now, Forever French!

Don’t forget Sheitan and Haute Tension with those frenchers up there, they need a place indeed.

• How does Norwegian compare to French. Well the French is more brutal I find but the Norwegian films have a certain feel about them. Dod Sno(Dead Snow) comes across very bloody and frantic. Its definitely the type of film a fan of Evil Dead would watch. Fritt Vilt brought about a new slasher and by the second film you had a brutal unstoppable slasher star.

• MARTYRS, Inside, Haute Tension are the most eye popping films I have ever seen when it comes to Scares, Blood, Gore and ULTRA Violence, look no further then those three. Yes, I’m Starting to become a fan also of some of the Norwegian films as well.

• Martyrs is superb, stays with you like Inside did (although not quite as disturbing). Haute Tension has gotta be up there with the favourites, the bedroom throat-slash was very realistic. Check out Frontiers, a great French horror with a hint of Hostel. Would be very interested in checking out some Norwegian horror…Definatley on my ‘to-do’…[Read more]

• CALVAIRE!

• Check out Vinyan!!! This is a fantastic movie that is being neglected. It’s a fantastic “slide down the rabbit hole” relationship study. Du Welz kicks serious ass.

• Yes sir yes sir Calvaire rules, but those of you who haven’t seen Sheitan must do so in the blink of a butt. Hurry go see it before someone slimy and diseased thing does!

• Vinyan I agree is also a very good film.

• Ahh, wee wee the French! My favourite French film of all is Eyes Without A Face AKA Les Yeux Sans Visage.. fantastic film from the 60′s. Then I also really like: Baby Blood, Irreversible, Baise-Moi and not really horror but really cool Delicatessen.

• Martyrs was pretty solid. Inside still gets top honors though i think

• I’ve only seen 2 french films so far, which are Inside and Martyrs and thought they were fantastic! And found them very disturbing! LOVE ‘EM!
I hope to watch High Tension and Them some time

• Going back to the Norwegian horror for a second…I watched Dod Sno/Dead Snow this weekend. Freaking loved it! It is Evil Dead/AoD in Europe. I was very impressed. Now, I’m trying to find a good subtitle file for Fritt Vilt. I’m good on the sequel, but I’m having trouble tracking the subs down for the first.

• The newest announcement, Carnival of Illusions. Sounds AWESOME | http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/16305

• Where is the love for In My Skin(psychological body mod) or Grapes of Death(zombies, Jean Rollin)? Las Yeux Sin Visage is a given. I believe that is Skitliv as KingovHell who mentioned it. Ha – called you out.

• So far Martyrs is my favorite amongst all these new French go-for-the-throat movies. It just slightly edges out Irreversable and High Tension.

• Anyone know the people behind the effects of Inside? They need to do more movies.

• Cornelius will be missed, I recomend you have him stuffed and open up a buisness in which people must pay to see his nipples up close. That’s what I did with my grandpa Jon and I am now more powerful than Judge Judy and Oprah Winfrey combined. Nipps. pay off.

• Inside, Martyrs, Frontiers, Switchblade Romance, Them….All superb, but I would have to put Inside first as it shocked the socks off me (and still does). Not many films can break all boundries like that and still be creepy.

INSIDE is my number one because there are no restrictions on what can or cannot be…[Read more]

• it’s not horror per say but it most definatley brings home the crispy bacon from france is Irriversible. It was so unsettling it made The Shining seem like Barney or something of the sort. Excellent film that is a def. check out.

• what do you mean its not horror? what about these movies is not horrifying to you?

• Grudge, I agree. As a human being, INSIDE is terrifying. (Spoiler Alert.) I can’t imagine being the woman in that position. Being a single man makes it initially hard enough to understand the terror running though the main character.

• thank you…and this is the point i try to get through to people…put yourself in that postion (role play if you have to) and get into the characters head. once you do this you can watch a movie like “irreversible” and be horrified like you should…this is why they are called “horror films” and not scary movies…they are not all meant to scare…[Read more]

and as for American movies..the good ones don’t show too much gore at all, it’s the B-movies in America that pack the gore, oh! For the american one, Alice Sweet Alice is choice, very scary, pretty graphic, and great freak…[Read more]

• I have seen most of the French horror that you guys mention but Calvaire and High Tension are my top picks.

• geeze, french brutality does not stop. i recently watched Manhunt/Rovdyr and, wow. Villmark is next on my list, what did you guys think of either of these?

• i havent seen “Villmark”, but by now we all should expect a thrill ride of brutal terror from the French……its just a given!!!

• too true. but honestly, i prefer a movie like Manhunt or Inside or High Tension to Martyrs. dont get me wrong, i did enjoy Martyrs, just not as much as I have other french flicks.

• are you kidding me? i would prefer “Inside” to any other French horror film any day of the week….

• what surprises me about these is that they are so good, i dont mind doing subtitles (i hate audio dubbing–ever since godzilla, i have hated it)

• even though i dont recognize the language and have to read a movies plot out……i would rather hear the original actresses voice and emotion coming out because they hired her for some reason didnt they? like Cecile de Franc in “High Tension”

• ya, thats what im saying. i prefer to hear the authentic voices and have the lips sync with the audio. if i dont understand, thats what the subs are for.

• im fine with reading a novel…..but only throughout the movie of said novel………there is nothing wrong with subtitles in a movie…..it gives you a better understanding of the words being used, like a deeper meaning per say

• they right what is close enough to being said…..all that matters from the subtitles is that you understand the storyline and development really……

• i agree with about that too…..no one ever likes a dubbed over movie, but for some reason people keep doing it again and again……

• that is soooo not true……ok you got me. how did you know???? how lazy can you be though???? you miss out on all that emotion in the actor/actresses voice…….it just doesnt make sense to me……

• sometimes those noises are not wanted to be heared by the audience!!!!! i know that during “Martyrs” i cringed a bit and huddled in the featle (is that spelled right?) position for a good the rest of the movie……

• Yeah personally, I like watching french horror films with subtitles. I know some french so that’s pretty helpful. Then again, I’m not exactly fluent in the language. Hearing the actor’s emotion in the film is always best in my IMO.

• watching that very last scene where she is holding the dead baby makes me terrified everytime i see it…..that whole last scene is a piece of art though…..top five movie all the way!!!

• Most of the French horror I’ve seen tends to do that. They seem to like to make the viewer think about the movie not for hours but for days. They really stay with you.

• ever since i saw “Martyrs” for the first time that movie has stuck with me!!!!! i still look at that movie cover and get chills from it……that movie is screwed the hell up!!!!

• it really does put “Hostel” in its place with the whole torture with a meaning thing…….i cannot say enough good things about “Martyrs”….the only thing that bugs me is that there are some people who actually hate this movie!!!

• i have a friend who hates it because he says “how could someone make a movie that is so offensive to women?” but he doesnt believe me that i know plenty of women who loved “Martys” and on top of that “Irreversible” and “Inside”……they probably dont like the beating of women or the straight up violence that occured during the whole movie!!! he…[Read more]

• thats the problem….he loves “Hostel”, but when women are offended its a whole other story…..once again he laughed during “Storm Warning” when the guy got his nuts eaten by the dog!!! he blames it on chivalry, but doesnt even know what chivalry means….

• dont worry we call him a dumbass every day of his life….i guess it isnt an offensive term for him anymore, but more like a pet name we have for him…..

check it out a few good frightners amongst em

• martyrs a great thought provoking film,so fresh of ideas makes hostel look very average

• just finishedviewing my first french horror film (Frontiers) and i have to say it was a pretty good movie cant wait to see more french horror films , I think Martyrs will be my next unless anyone has any suggestions on something else i should see first
