Boonraiser commented on the post, New Trailer For ‘Byzantium’, Could This Be The Best Vampire Movie Of The Year? May 21, 2013 6:34 pm
Definitely the best movie since Let The Right One In, as per one of the posters. I saw this at TIFF and loved that it had a lot of new ideas and it was beautiful to look at, (not just Gemma).

Boonraiser commented on the post, 10 Horror Movies My Mom Hates (And Loves)!!! May 12, 2013 3:35 pm
This is a great mom list, even if a few aren’t straight up horror; they are still quite violent. My mom liked a lot of these. I remember her renting Hellraiser 2 when it came out on VHS when I was like 8. She […]

Boonraiser commented on the post, Revolting Clip From ‘No One Lives’ Is A Lot Of Fun May 8, 2013 5:43 pm
It’s too bad they showed this clip. I saw this at TIFF and didn’t know much about it. This was one of the cool surprises in the movie. It’s not a great movie but does have some great gore and interesting kills.

Boonraiser commented on the post, “Groovy!” Horror On Top Again As ‘Evil Dead’ Cleans Up With An Estimated 26 Million!! April 7, 2013 8:36 pm
I have to say that I enjoyed this treatment quite a bit when I saw it in a packed Friday night theatre. I just wish there was some sort of screening process to keep young, disrespectful teenagers out of the […]

Ha ha ha. So if tomorrow is the second of April, that means today must be the first. Why do I even go on the internet on this day. Nice try.

Boonraiser commented on the post, A Whole Lotta Gemma Arterton In These New ‘Byzantium’ Stills March 21, 2013 9:05 pm
Agreed. It definitely isn’t traditional. I saw it at TIFF and really enjoyed it. The cast did a great job with a completely different type of story. Also, there was some beautiful imagery, (not just Gemma).

Boonraiser commented on the post, Stop Being A Victim; You Can Stop Cell Phone Use In Theaters! March 14, 2013 5:44 pm
First, I turn my phone off always. It can wait. I agree with everyone on here about the talking though, it’s so much worse. These two younger guys were talking all through the first half of Cabin in the Woods. I […]

Boonraiser commented on the post, Massive Image Gallery and UK Quad For Rob Zombie’s ‘The Lords of Salem’ March 13, 2013 5:33 pm
You guys all being fans of Rob’s will definitely like this movie. It has it’s flaws, but they definitely aren’t in the visuals or sound, (thanks John 5). I know it had very mixed reviews from TIFF, but I quite […]

Boonraiser commented on the post, [SXSW '13 Exclusive] Writer Rodo Sayagues On The Potential Sequel To ‘Evil Dead’! Also, Find Out Where You Can See The Movie Early! March 10, 2013 11:48 am
You should’ve mentioned the Canadian dates for the pre-screenings too. It’s playing in Toronto this Thursday at Scotiabank theatre. Although it may only be for a contest you had to enter. There are lots of […]

Boonraiser commented on the post, [SXSW '13] Grab An Axe And Prepare For ‘You’re Next’ March 8, 2013 6:38 pm
I saw this like a year and a half ago at TIFF. It’s such an entertaining movie, I wouldn’t consider it terrifying though. It’s actually a perfect summer horror movie with a really interesting tone as I remember. […]

Boonraiser commented on the post, Mr. Boogie Official Returning In ‘Sinister’ Sequel March 1, 2013 6:46 pm
The first has a pretty good, original story but the ending was so predictable. I figured it out way before Ethan’s character. The home movies were pretty neat though.

Boonraiser commented on the post, Rob Zombie’s ‘The Lords of Salem’ Trailer, Poster Premiere!! February 4, 2013 7:52 pm
There was a lot about this movie that I liked when I saw it in the fall at TIFF. I would agree with a lot of what has been said about the script etc. though. Sheri is actually pretty good in this, much different […]

Boonraiser commented on the post, 6 Dream Tour Pairings!!! January 24, 2013 5:30 pm
I had tickets to see Rage and the Beastie Boys back in 2001. Mike D dislocated his shoulder from a bike accident and the show was cancelled. Shortly after that rage broke up. I was so upset. At least I saw Rage in […]

Boonraiser commented on the post, Obama Allocates Funds To Research Relationship Between Violent Media And Violence January 20, 2013 11:53 am
I think you’ve watched Red Dawn too many times. So if all those children were allowed to have guns at school they would have been safe from disturbed gun nuts? I’m glad the few Americans I know are actually sane, […]

Boonraiser commented on the post, [Special Report] The Set Of ‘Evil Dead’ Is Violent, Chaotic And Bloody As Hell… PART ONE! January 7, 2013 6:29 pm
I agree. I went to see Django last night and found there were quite a few immature theatre goers in the audience laughing at inappropriate times etc. And it’s rated 18A. Great movie though.

Boonraiser commented on the post, [This Day in Horror] ‘King Kong’ Was Released in Theaters December 17, 2012 7:25 pm
I used to love as a kid when he tore the people and the alligators in half, only to eat them or throw them away. Actually, I haven’t watched this in years. Hmmm…

Boonraiser commented on the post, [Remember This?] When People Lost Their Shit In Theaters? December 12, 2012 4:30 pm
I’ve never lost my shit in the theatre before, there aren’t many movies that will do that to me. I did see a few people leave the theatre when I saw Martyrs play at TIFF. I guess this also happened when it showed […]

Actually DJBLACK1313, I’m referring to a movie station we had in Alberta in the early 80′s. It was called Superstation or Super Channel or something. I’ve never seen Superstition, but I just looked it up. Maybe […]

Oops, I thought maybe the second Jaws had a different rating. Revenge of the Nerds I was quite young. I do remember my mom renting Hellraiser 2 with me when I was around 8. She was puzzled as to why I wanted to […]
