I have favorites in every genre, but seeing as this is Bloody-Disgusting here are my top horror picks: The Shining, Carrie, Exorcist, Grindhouse, Scream, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Alien/Aliens, Bram Stoker’s Dracula (Coppola), Candyman, The Ring, Nightmare on Elm Street, Black Christmas, Devil’s Rejects, Shaun of the Dead, Session 9, 30 Days of Night, Wolf Creek, Hills Have Eyes (remake), 28 Days/Weeks Later, Re-Animator, some David Lynch (Blue Velvet in particular)

As far as horror literature, I loved Scott Smith’s "The Ruins" (loads better than the movie), "Flicker" by Theodore Roszak is also very good; probably my favorite horror tome of all time is "The Other" by Thomas Tryon. As far as Stephen King goes, my faves are "The Stand", "The Dead Zone", and "Salem’s Lot"
