Why isn’t there a punk rock/horror film fest in Chicago? We have conventions here and there, but they rarely ever let bands play. If they do, you have to be Horror-rock band with eyeliner and leather jackets! What the fuck? I would love to play in front of a screen with some good splatter scenes going on in the background. Maybe I’m crazy!

Just joined BD and saw the musicians group. It seems pretty dead here though. What is everyone up to? Any small punk bands I should check out?

I am in a band called Johnny Rev. I’ve been told we sound similar to an Alkaline Trio or an AFI. I don’t really agree, but can’t lump us into any specific group.
