In reply to: el-terror posted an update in the group Slasher Fans Does anyone know of any slasher films that maybe didn’t have any sequels and that no one really mentions anymore but are still pretty good? Maybe something […] View

Ah! I love the Prowler and The Funhouse… I’m kinda interested to see what Eli Roth could do with the Funhouse remake he mentioned… the ideas he had seemed awesome.

And I’ve always liked the Prowler… and THE BURNING… not to mention PIECES.

Yeah maybe not… but if you give it a chance I think you might be surprised.

More the mask in context. If I just tell you what the mask is it probably won’t be too enticing… so I’d prefer if you first discover what the mask is in the context of a trailer.

It’s an animal mask. That’s all I’ll say at the moment. I want you guys to be surprised by it in the trailer. Maybe it will even be up on the BD indie page.

    ZOMBIE LAKE! Hilariously bad.
Also… not sure if it counts… but I Drink Your Blood is ridiculous.
And let’s not forget REDNECK ZOMBIES!

I’m not really a huge fan of rock in horror movies… unless it’s used correctly. I prefer eerie scores with simple themes. My favorite scores are Goblin’s Suspiria (not really a slasher movie but still) and the score from the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. There’s not a whole lot too it… and that’s what makes it eerie. Also… sometimes……[Read more]

I’m actually wrapping up a slasher right now that has a pretty creepy mask. I’ll post a trailer here soon.

I would have to say the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Burning, Halloween, and Black Christmas are up there though.
