We love Evil clown movies. December 14, 2009 4:53 pmI have seen some quite interesting movies with clowns in, ranging from well known ones such as IT, to lesser known ones like When evil calls or Urban Massacre, all have interesting takes on the popular entertainer. I am curious which films you think have the best or worst clowns and why.
-
i hated kill joy as its too over the top and the 2nd wasnt much better
-
actualy the verry worse must be the camp blood clown …he just never tried to look like a clown he just had a mask ….an unforgetable clown apperence has to be michael myers outfit as h kills his siter …nice tit … or the ultimate klown movie is killer klowns from outer space wich has its own group
-
The Joker is probably my fave but after that I would say Pennywise.
-
the original joker was better than the remake and way back when adam west was batman the joker was eve better ….camper maybe but more eccentric and crazy but the great clown we ull must worship is harly quinn the jester …admit it she is hot and deserves a movie of her own rated 18 uk or r in states
-
Pennywise and The Joker (both Heath and Jack)
-
Ok so the Jack Nicholson joker is miles better than the Heath ledger one. I found he was quite disappointing, particularly heaths joker laugh, it just sounded like he was trying to bring up a hair ball or something.
Anyway, Pennywise is pretty cool too.
-
Pennywise by far……there are not that many good clowns and those that are are in batman…..that needs to change to horror!!!
-
the clown from drive thru was up there. and then killer klowns from outer space of course. but yes, pennywise takes the cake. and it floats.
-
I love the clowns from “Killer Clowns from Outer Space”. Seems like they’d throw a rockin’ party

And of course Pennywise would be invited to that party. -
i dont know if i would want to go to that party to be honest…..
-
might be lil’ bit offtopic since this whole thing seems to be all about movies but one of my favorite clowns is not from a film but from a game. I’m talking about Sweet Tooth from twisted metal.
I just love his muscles and stuff but yeah Pennywise is hard to win when it comes to movie-clowns.
(I also like the looks of clown zombie from Zombieland) -
Sweet Tooth should have a movie dedicated to him…..a very sick clown with his own van that can fuck up a tank!!!! good idea!!!!
-
i forgot about that clown in zombieland
and violent j and shaggy kinda count as evil clowns from a movie
i mean they werent exactly evil in big money hustlas…
but they are wicked clownz -
what does the zombieland clown have to do with your favorite???
-
well I am glad to see that there are so many clown lovers, was watchin a film called “the secret or the clown” the other day. Has a demon clown in it, goes round killin people, pretty funny stuff. Interesting lookin clown though. pretty good.
-
PENNYWISE FOR LIFE SCAREST CLOWN EVER!
-
no doubt about that!!!! if only that second part of the movie wasnt so….whats the right word…..terrible!!!
-
Sweettooth is the fuckin’ psycho…gotta love’im!
-
I gotta go with the splendidly cast Tim Curry as Pennywise the dancing clown.
He could make me float any time he’d like… -
My favourite clowns are Pennywise and Captain Spaulding
-
Captain Spaulding isnt even a real clown!!!

phantasm December 14, 2009 11:57 ami like the gravers caus they look creepy without trying
lets hear your fave things about this unforgeterble franchise
-
Well I can’t remember which one it is, I think it’s the 3rd or 4th but it’s probably later on in the film series, Anyway, I love it when the main character finds out the he is actually one of the phantasms trapped in a human body, I thought that was great, Also, I love when the phantasm that drills attatches itself to peoples heads and the blood…[Read more]

THE TALL MAN himself.that leer is priceless & his lines are classic.
-
i like when he loses his finger in the first one.
-
the soundtrack: minimalist yet veeery ominous
-
The soundtrack is iconic, utterly amazing. I am particularly fond of the Tall Man, one of the truely great horror bad guys… no make-up or mask needed for him to unnerve you.

Johnny Depp Appreciation group December 13, 2009 3:42 pmanything he’s in or going to do
-
i loved the secret window its spookey and you see him act prety well in it unlike once upon a time in mexeco
-
He was incredible in “Public Enemies” this year and I hope he wins gets an Oscar nomination for playing Mr. Dillinger. I was actually “rooting” for him and hoping he would “ride away in the sunset” with the girl.
Johnny Depp is awesome in everything he touches, even in 21 Jumpstreet. I am looking forward to him playing the Mad Hatter in Tim…[Read more]

I can’t wait for Alice in Wonderland because alot of the main characters in sweeny todd are in it but Crispin Glover is in the film aswell.
-
gunna be a tim burton masterpice
-
Definitely! They certainly work well together!
-
I don’t want either of them to die and if they do then it should be at the same time so then the other one doesn’t cry for ages and eventually go insane because I rekon that would happen if only one of them died.
-
can anyone stand another camp pyrate depp … on stranger tides better see depp becoming a bit more grown up caus thares something abit sad watching a man his age prance bout like a 2yo with a cutlass and popgun
-
I don’t like him in Pirates of the carabeian because he’s got too much colour, he’s absolutly gorgeous when he’s pale, like in Sweeny Todd.

-
Thats probably the best part of the film except the lovely geuesome deaths. I do however feel sorry for the dog!
-
would you buy meat from his store if you didnt know about the bodies in the back room …. or would he creep you out too much when hes playing his diranged altor-ego
-
Yes I probably would buy meat from him and both sides of him don’t bother me.

Hellraiser Appreciation Group!!! December 11, 2009 4:35 pmOne thing that I just absolutely love about the book was the description of Pinhead which goes something like…
“across his entire head was an intricate grid with a jeweled pin driven up to the hilt…” (not verbatim)
All I’m trying to say is that the book was utterly fantastic and would like to discuss it? Any interesting interpretations…[Read more]

‘The Hellbound Heart’ now seems something extra extraordinary and special because of where the franchise took the Pinhead character. In the book Pinhead (or Lead Cenobite) was ambiguous…an androgynous, perhaps even female, certainly not the major character but a servant of hell. The films downplayed the dark sexuality of the cenobites to an…[Read more]

Chucky! November 7, 2009 2:14 pmi love chucky and to b honest i dnt know which film of his i like the best
child’s play 1
child’s play 2
child’s play 3
bride of chucky
seed of chuckywhich one is ur fave?
-
Childs Play 1 2 and 3 the other ones I can’t stand them

and if I have to pick one…Childs Play 1 of course…
I grew up with Chucky! :beerchug: -
same i grew up with him too
i want to get a doll of him
-
Child’s Play 1 & 2 are my favs.
Though the other movies are decent too.
-
Bride Of Chucky & Seed Of Chucky were basically comedy-horrors and the first three were just horrors. While there was a little bit of humor in the first too that I enjoyed and I did enjoy the funny stuff from the 5th & 6th one…I just feel like their needs to be another Chucky movie that is less comedy and just darker. I love the new Chucky look…[Read more]
-
I don’t really want to see a remake since the original Child’s Play was a good movie and I don’t see how they could improve upon it.
-
Unlike other remakes or re-imagination of popular horror movies…the new Child’s Play movie will be by the same person so that’s a good thing and Charles Lee Ray/Chucky will be the same person which is also a good thing. We’ll see if it really is darker than the first two but I imagine it might be more violent and gory.
I was hoping for a long…[Read more]

to behonest i also think they shouldnt remake them cus
they look gd the effect’s were perfect for the films n they couldnt do it any bettern lets hope they dnt have any shit like sex n tht cus it will b just a porn movie like some other films
its a classic they shouldnt play with it or chucky will play with them hehehe:devilang:
-
i recently bought all the childs play dvds except seed of chucky thats shit my fave is no 2
-
the original 3 were by far the best ones
-
These movies were just flippin fantastic.
I agree that the first two were definitely the best, but the others weren’t bad, kinda cheesy though.
The ‘bride of chucky’ and the ‘seed of chucky’ were quite humorous, I didn’t mind them, nothing at all that could give you nightmares though.

The 1st 3 are my favourites because they just stuck to horror with little one liners to make you smile, this works since it still holds the malicious feel to the film, whereas the last 2 lost their way by being comedy horrors, My favourite scene is in the 1st film though where chucky was thrown in the fire, and starts walking down the hall as a…[Read more]

to be honest childs play 3 didnt do much for me with that wieny black kid but my 2 fave bits in this one are the death of the barber and the way chucky is laughing and talking to himself as he swaps out the paintball rounds for live ones …..so sinister to take the cadets trust and nievety and throw it back in their faces
-
2 because it was like 1 but with better kills and better chucky.
-
i also love 1 because like a lot of you i grew up with it and the scene where chucky first talks is burned in my memory forever.

tim burton October 18, 2009 5:41 pmWe just bought “Beetlejuice” last night and we had no idea Tim Burton directed this film!!
We cannot wait to watch and laugh our butts off!! Michael Keaton rocks in this film. Its from 1988 and Danny Elfman wrote the music.
I could do a thread on Mr. Elfman alone.:D:cool:
-
A fav of mine and one of Tim Burton’s best.
-
yepp hehehehe
nice fucking model *honk honk* hehehehe -
Ditto to Count Orlock! I am going to have my 8 yr old watch it. Is there “bad words” in it?
-
yea only a few tho my neice loves the film XD
probs only 1 or 2 swear words
hope he enjoys it xxx:mrgreen: -
I love Beetlejuice, I thought it was genius, I knew it was a Burton film, you can tell by the dark humour, sets, and totally wacked out costumes. Great film suitable for all ages. Minimal swear words.

Silver Bullet, The Howling, and American Werewolf In London are fantastic werewolf movies. I know the Howling has a lot of sequels… dunno if any of them are good.

werewolves beast.

Werewolves are really cool and I like them very much:)

The original is my favourite because it introduces Freddy, the kills are by far the best and it’s probably the scariest. Out of the other films I prefer Dream Warriors and New Nightmare but they’re all close to my heart!
How about you?
Indeed. Good choices. I adore the 1st one aswell because of the way they introduced Freddy. He was much scarrier and they did well caputring how creepy he is. New nightmare is creative and made fred a lot more creepy and dark
the original,no explanation neccessary.part 3 for all the nice kills and the worm.fvj for the sweet fight scenes and story.
i would have to agree with pac on this…..the first was the best hands down!!!
i actually like part 2…
i am not going to lie…..the second part was just not as good….the first was epic, but then the second was a let down compared to the first….
agreed but the pool party was awesome.
i dont even agree with that…..i thought it was disappointing….how many kills from that 2 or 3???
it was a nice way to show freddy as completely evil.it went friday the 13th.:pirate:
we already knew that though……he killed children before teenagers!!!!
while thats evil he killed them one at a time.this time he slaughtered them.its a very drastic change.
i would believe that if he had the chance he would always spree the life out of teenagers, but he is stuck one at a time in dream land…..
it was still nice to see it.
i would love to see that too, but the dream land kills are what makes Freddy the legend that he is!!!!
i agree.once only to see it but i like the dream kills best.:pirate:
Nightmare 1…the film that started it all. i also love 3, and the New Nightmare…two words…Heather Langenkamp!
the original has to be the best becuase it started it all and it was the scariest one, after that the rest were comedys.
yeah right, part 2 and new nightmare were far from comedies.
Dont get me wrong i love the first, and it IS the best… but i like the second one, Freddy’s revenge. Theres a pool party scene where Freddy enters the real world. He shows a god-like complexity when he raises his arms and says “You’re all my children now”. Iconic.
New Nightmare tried to be scary but didnt manage it
the 1st is the best.i like the others but the original movie was a fresh take on the slasher at the time.freddy was the first one that was already dead.
Deff. the original is my fav. I still get goosebumps when we first meet freddy in the dark alley way and he does that arm stretch thing and scratches the wall. I can’t watch in the dark haha.
The original. Awesome kills, introduces the killer we call Freddy, and it is the scariest in the franchise.
1,3,4 and Freddy vs Jason if you count it
orignal(number 1) cause just when u first saw this one it was fucking scary and after number one they where stilll good but not the same creepyness u get!
the first is by far the best. i live and breathe this movie. its scary as all hell. 1,3,7(the ones that wes craven directed/wrote) are all scary, the rest have that comedic element that i hate. but the first one is by FAR the best
