mav07 - - "@evandickson well I sent the same link to Fuller with no reply so I thought i’d see what your thoughts were. With the success of the “Veronica Mars” kickstarter campaign, why in the Hell aren’t Bay & Co. at PD doing this for Freddy and Jason sequels??? It seems like a no brainer. If fans of a show that only lasted 3 seasons can generate that much cash, imagine what Freddy and Jason fans could do. Fuller made it out to sound like the studio wasn’t impressed with the numbers those films brought in. Is this true, or did they not like the films and the direction they were going? Either way, if a studio is hesitant about fronting their own cash then what do they have to lose by having the fans fund the movie? Maybe even have a little online/fan interaction by putting out certain plot suggestions, actors, directors, the way the mask looks for christ sakes and let the fans decide.
