Nightmare on Elm st. Fans 3 years, 6 months agoLet me know what your favorite Nightmare on Elm street film is and why. I’m curious to see the outcome and votes on this topic:)
-
The original is my favourite because it introduces Freddy, the kills are by far the best and it’s probably the scariest. Out of the other films I prefer Dream Warriors and New Nightmare but they’re all close to my heart!
How about you? -
Indeed. Good choices. I adore the 1st one aswell because of the way they introduced Freddy. He was much scarrier and they did well caputring how creepy he is. New nightmare is creative and made fred a lot more creepy and dark
-
the original,no explanation neccessary.part 3 for all the nice kills and the worm.fvj for the sweet fight scenes and story.
-
i would have to agree with pac on this…..the first was the best hands down!!!
-
i actually like part 2…
-
i am not going to lie…..the second part was just not as good….the first was epic, but then the second was a let down compared to the first….
-
agreed but the pool party was awesome.
-
i dont even agree with that…..i thought it was disappointing….how many kills from that 2 or 3???
-
it was a nice way to show freddy as completely evil.it went friday the 13th.:pirate:
-
we already knew that though……he killed children before teenagers!!!!
-
while thats evil he killed them one at a time.this time he slaughtered them.its a very drastic change.
-
i would believe that if he had the chance he would always spree the life out of teenagers, but he is stuck one at a time in dream land…..
-
it was still nice to see it.
-
i would love to see that too, but the dream land kills are what makes Freddy the legend that he is!!!!
-
i agree.once only to see it but i like the dream kills best.:pirate:
-
Nightmare 1…the film that started it all. i also love 3, and the New Nightmare…two words…Heather Langenkamp!
-
the original has to be the best becuase it started it all and it was the scariest one, after that the rest were comedys.
-
yeah right, part 2 and new nightmare were far from comedies.
-
Dont get me wrong i love the first, and it IS the best… but i like the second one, Freddy’s revenge. Theres a pool party scene where Freddy enters the real world. He shows a god-like complexity when he raises his arms and says “You’re all my children now”. Iconic.
http://scr3am4ever.webs.com/
-
New Nightmare tried to be scary but didnt manage it
-
the 1st is the best.i like the others but the original movie was a fresh take on the slasher at the time.freddy was the first one that was already dead.
-
Deff. the original is my fav. I still get goosebumps when we first meet freddy in the dark alley way and he does that arm stretch thing and scratches the wall. I can’t watch in the dark haha.
-
The original. Awesome kills, introduces the killer we call Freddy, and it is the scariest in the franchise.
-
1,3,4 and Freddy vs Jason if you count it
-
orignal(number 1) cause just when u first saw this one it was fucking scary and after number one they where stilll good but not the same creepyness u get!
-
the first is by far the best. i live and breathe this movie. its scary as all hell. 1,3,7(the ones that wes craven directed/wrote) are all scary, the rest have that comedic element that i hate. but the first one is by FAR the best

remakes? 3 years, 10 months agoof all the remakes that have come out id have ta say halloween
-
The Hills Have Eyes.
-
i would have to say by far the RZ’s remake of “Halloween”…..but there are a lot of great remakes out there that people dont give the necesary credit for……….
-
I agree, all the remakes so far shows the new generation how horror has grown over the years.
-
I’m going to have to agree with necro. Halloween has been the only remake that’s really blown my skirt up in the last ten years. Friday the 13th was mildly entertaining, and Nightmare was wretched.

Rob Zombie fans 3 years, 11 months agoCan include stuff from his White Zombie days.
My favorite album from him was my first “Hellbilly Deluxe” Some of my favorite music tracks of all time on there. Living Dead Girl and Dragula own.
Note: My first intro to Rob Zombie was Living Dead Girl being featured in the opening credits of Bride of Chucky.
-
Fuckin’ Astro-Creep: 2000 from his White Zombie days followed closely by Sinister Urge from his solo days.
-
The peyote scene he did in “Bevis and Butthead Do America”, loved animation!
-
*the^
-
La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Vol. One is my fav olso a very old bootleg of them live in NYC that I cant find no more.
-
the Sinister Urge
-
Hellbilly Deluxe.
Dragula is my all time favorite song. -
I started listening to Rob with Hellbilly Deluxe, theres a lot of good songs on it, so it gets my vote. Sinister Urge has good song on it too
-
Meh, some of the stuff on Dragula was pretty good. Other than that I wasn’t really a big Zombie fan music wise anyways.
-
Hellbilly Deluxe is my favorite album of all time! I love all his music.

An invisible man can rule the world. No one will see him come, no one will see him go! he can rob rape and kill!

You’d have to be naked all the time though, which I guess could be seen as a + or -

“Univeral”?

I could talk about universal studios monsters all day. I would probably say my favorite would have to be the bride of frankenstien WHAT A MOVIE you realy fealt sorry for the monster, all these movies are so special Son of frankenstien, House of frankenstien, the wolfman, Frankenstien meets the wolfman, I could go on forever, come on people lets…[Read more]
-
the bride of frankenstien is my favorite too and then the wolfman.
-
Huge Universal Horror fan, my favorite would definitely be Frankenstein. Not that Bride bullshit..;) Bride is great but not nearly as good IMO.
I make it a point to break out those Legacy DVD sets around Halloween time.
-
i would say that my favorite is wolfman. i used to watch it all of the time. =)
-
yea wolf man is my fav to.couldent really get into that bride shit!:chainsaw:
-
Maybe because I might be a romantic, but dracula just barely is my favorite monster. He longs for love like anyone else. The wolfman is my other favorite. He is labeled as a monster and nothing else. However, he has many layers people neglect to see.
-
Love me some Universal Monsters. Frankenstein would be my favorite, but I dig them all. Looking forward to nabbing the new Wolfman Legacy DVD in the fall.
-
i think bela lugosi is the awesomest dracula.
-
Dracula is my favorite by far. I love this group.
-
Most chilling line in horror film history, Dracula “I never drink….wine.” Dracula is my all time favorite for many reasons.
-
Dracula is so good not just for bela Lugosi but Dwight Frye. My other favorite is the Mummy, Karloff is hypnotic in that film.
-
bela lugosi as dracula he is the best. dracula’s daughter was an awesome movie too.
-
I’m glad to see that the lesser known films are finally getting there day in the sun. Even better is that they are being released with multiple titles. James Whale’s “THE OLD DARK HOUSE” (1932 after Frankenstein) with Karloff is a classic and should be seen by all.
-
I love the Universal monster movies..I have em all…My fav is Frankenstein then the wolfman…love all the Frankenstein movies…Bride, son of,ghost of,house of,meets the wolfman..all classics
-
Bela Lugosi is definately the best dracula. My favourite.
-
I used to have a VHS boxed set of all the Universal Horror classics – Dracula, The Wolf Man, The Creature from the Black Lagoon and Frankenstein. Awesome set.
Anyway, I have always loved the Universal Monsters. Frankenstein, Dracula and The Invisible Man are my absolute favourites.
-
Universal monsters are great, back when the acting and story were good you gotta love em
-
Bride of Frankenstein is my all-time favorite movie…
-
It doesn’t get any better than these guys. They’re called “universal” monsters for a reason.
-
My favorite would have to be Frankenstien then the Wolfman.

Probably when Michael kills the rednecks who beat him with the bat or the stripper he repeatedly smashes into the mirror…
hmmm….probably the nurse and buddy…i luv the hospital sequence…and i love Harley’s kill when he crashes thru the rear window of the van
Head stomp for me. Bloody pulp.
The sped up kill when Myers stabs the guy into the tree :headstab:
When Michael “sawed” off Richard Brake’s characters head with a piece of the wreckage, after hitting the cow. That sound effect was grisly man…grisly. Still makes me squirm. And it’s even more unnerving because the whole thing takes place while “The Things We Do For Love” is playing on the radio.
Definitely the part where MM kills that disgusting necrophiliac and when Dr. Loomis gets his just desserts. :pirate:
The head stomp was something else.Ouch, what a way to go
My favorite kill is definitely when he kills nurse Danielle in the beginning, and, of course, Loomis.
The head stomp for sure.
The decapitation early on was also great. The sound FX was…
probably didnt die but when laurie stabbed michael.there was something awesome about it.either that or her step sisters death.
I love it when Michael slams that skank ass strippers head into the mirror over and over:)
when he kills the guy who stops to give laurie a ride-puts him through the windshield & rolls the car right over him.correct me if i’m wrong but i think it’s the guy from the people under the stairs which makes it not only brutal but kind of funny!
Stripper kill,or the nurse in the hospital
The head stomp for sure. Just the sheer force, frustration, and ferocity behind it. It was so hardcore. Don’t fuck with Mikey.
probably either annies death or laury’s friend death:)
The nurse kill was my favorite, so amazingly brutal!! The Stripper death scene was awesome too!!
“Hit the bricks Dorothy”…then he gets the boot heel.
Nurse Daniels & Misty were my favorite deaths.
All of the death scenes are amazing, but yes, Nurse Daniels and Misty (The stripper) were my favorites!
