The Halloween Series has always appealed to me. 50′s through 70′s Hammer Horror/Amicus is incredible. The original Blood Feast and 2000 Maniacs (love Herschell Gordon Lewis). Traditional Universal Horror and B Horror. Horror of any Budget. Some Sci Fi but mostly non Trekkie stuff (no Battlestar Galatica etc). Particularly fond of the endeavors of Rob Zombie, Eli Roth and the rest of the Splat Pack. Other than horror I just watch old movies… 30′s through 70′s classics. I love The Deerhunter. Everything Jimmy Stewart.

Another Roadside Attraction by Tom Robbins. Everything Lovecraft… yes even that one… yep. Poppy Z. Brite although I haven’t read her stuff in years. I always liked the image of feeling the rib cage from the inside. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (all volumes), Vonnegut, Burroughs, de Sade (yes that one), Ray Bradbury (even more so than Stephen King but only slightly), Orwell is a big influence as is Huxley.
