John Carpenter Fans September 1, 2009 6:09 pmSo Carpenter has been MIA for the past 8 years or so and his big comeback is a film entitled The Ward. So far all that is known, to me at least is that its a ghost story about a woman in a asylum and it will be released in 2010. Anyone else know anything about it?

I love ‘The Wolfman’, ‘An American Werewolf in London’, ‘Dog Soldiers’, and I like ‘Wolf’. I’m about to get around to seeing ‘The Howling’ again sometime soon, as I haven’t seen it in absolutely ages. Despite not liking the first ‘Underworld’ too much, to my surprise I’ve enjoyed the last two, which were both pretty good. The last one being the…[Read more]

Silver Bullet, The Howling, and American Werewolf In London are fantastic werewolf movies. I know the Howling has a lot of sequels… dunno if any of them are good.

I know it isn’t a movie, but the first thing I ever seen of Bruce’s that made me be a big fan of his was . That show was my favorite show growing up and when looking for other films and shows years later I discovered the trilogy( with help from my friend who made me watch the trilogy and got me hooked). I also enjoyed him in and his reoccuring…[Read more]

-

-
My Name is Bruce and Mindwarp
-
No movie will beat the Evil Dead trilogy. I was watchin The Love Bug yesterday in french and he was good, it was pure Bruce, maybe because of the dubb. Even if he didnt have a big part i taught Congo was a good movie too
-
My name is Bruce is my pick.
-
a close second.. can’t wait for the sequel! And rocked. I’ve been scouring the town for that and still haven’t managed to turn a copy up.. haven’t searched the interwebs for it either, though.[Read more]

Bubba Ho-Tep
-
just saw evil dead for the first time…epic!
-
I watched the other day and all I could think about was him ing it up behind the scenes.
Bubba Ho-Tep – Damn straight, Dish Dog!
Oh, and if you’re in the mood for some 90′s Gary Cole Mullet with a little Bruce on the side, don’t forget to watch on Chiller during the day.[Read more]

Not a movie… but he did some voice over work for Seth Green’s show ROBOT CHICKEN that was pretty entertaining! “Hello I’m Bruce Campbell and every morning I like to polish my morning wood”.
And when he did Brisco County Jr… YUMMMMMM! -
My Name Is Bruce
-
Maniac Cop. Love that movie!! Also The Man With The Screaming Brain. It’s just awful, but I can’t help it!:he:

My favorite would have to be My Name is Bruce. For any fan its a fucking classic!
But for Bruce’s performance it’d have to be Bubba Ho-Tep, hands down.

Classic Horror Franchise Fans May 14, 2009 10:18 amAnyone else cautiously excited for the NOES remake? (Or is it a reboot? What’s the correct terminology?)
-
honestly the NOES franchise was starting to get pretty old/lame/cheesy/wtv… even if the reboot doesn’t live up to the original series at least we can count on it being different.
-
I actually am excited for the NOES remake. too bad its a year away.
-
At this point I could care less what the movie is about. I just want to see another Freddy movie. Still a little ticked about no Robert Englund. ~le sigh~
-
I’m just happy there’s another Freddy film too. Can’t wait to see it. Even the dodgy ones like Freddy’s Revenge and Freddy Vs Jason I enjoyed because it’s Freddy! Hope it’s a good one though.
-
The classics are the best. We will never see Horror films like the golden oldies , Halloween, NOES and F13 ever again.
-
El Terror,
I am with you I love all the movies shit I even loved freddy vs jason ha ha ha
-
The NOES remake is actually looking pretty promising. They got the casting right and they are supposedly keeping the comedy out or to a minimum. The whole Freddy concept is interesting, so hopefully they will be able to make something of it.
-
Anyone like the Sleepaway Camp movies? Just bought the box set and thought the first movie was fantastic.
-
Waiting…
-
I like the first but the rest weren’t too great..
-
I haven’t seen Return to Sleepaway Camp yet but I enjoyed the others. They were obviously very cheaply made but they’re still quite good films. Angela is mental.
-
I saw Retun to Sleepaway Camp. It was actually really good, I was shocked.
-
I gotta check it out if it’s as good as you say i’ll be taking that trip to movie stop soon. Yea, Angela was mental…the first tranny slasher…that say’s it all.
-
Anybody else counting down the days that Friday the 13th ( re-imagning can’t say remake) hits blu-ray…I’m marking the days off the calender for this one.
-
the Re-Animator films are some of the best and Jeffery Combs is up there with Bruce Campbell. havent seen return to sleepaway yet and the friday remake I like some parts but at the same time I hate a lot of it.
-
i think that for the new friday the 13th they could have done a little more with the story line instead of doing pretty much the same thing as the fist one but i still love the special effects.
-
Unfortunatly I am not looking foward to this remake or re-imaging or whatever you want to call it. It seems all the horror classics are being remade. I’m so tired of that. I would love to see freddy back on the big screen but not in a remake. How about just a new entry into the series? As long as Robert England is Freddy and not some joke like…[Read more]
-
It may be okay, but no one can beat Robert Englund as Freddy.
-
I am definitely excited for it. I have always like Platinum Dunes and what they do. I think every single one of their movies has been great. The Unborn and The Hitcher weren’t the best, but overall they are pretty good. NOES as a series was getting pretty tired and boring, so I think that this movie, even if it isnt the best, will be a breath of…[Read more]
-
I am excited to see it. I am always cautious about remakes/reboots, but after Friday the 13th I am a little more at ease, it wasn’t the best remake, but it was good. Mr. Barlow, The Sleep Away Camp trilogy is awesome. I wish that 4th one would have been made. I am waiting for a remake of that series.
-
I’m all for the NOES remake. They have a decent cast and Freddy looks the business. Even if it doesn’t live up it will sure be a lot better than Part 6, probably even part 5.
-
I think “remaking” the film without Wes Craven and Robert Englund is a mistake, but the casting of Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy is pretty awesome. It bothers me that in the preview, Freddy is denying any wrong doing against the kids when he’s confronted by the parents. He’s supposed to have been a psychopathic serial killer, the “Springwood…[Read more]

Oh and I really liked Parts 5 and 6
-
jackie earle haley as freddy is pretty awesome! the way he looks these days fits ( no offense intended ).kelly leak-freddy krueger.as far as him being wimpy & remorseful, serial killers are good at faking that-the mask of sanity.ted bundy cried like a baby when they executed him but felt nothing about raping, torturing & killing his victims.
-
good point
-
already got money put back.
-
I enjoyed it.
-
jeez i need to watch the originals lol i always watch the remakes lol
-
I enjoyed the remake…but I’d still prefer Robert over Jackie any day…
-
i loved the remake it was a good movie

All I know at the moment, is that Carpenter is filming it right now. He’s actually making a new film!
I’m not finding any updates for this but I’ll keep looking and post what I find. This is going to be great I can’t wait for a true Master of Horror to bring it all back to where it should be.
Amen to that, i cant wait for him to make his return.
it’s happening up near like spokane or idaho…was trying to research it on imdbpro….I was there’s a little casting company working on it up there…but pam dixon was casting the bigger roles
