The artwork on some of these boxes were certainly better than many of the movies themselves. Does anyone remember (in the United States)?
They put out some amazing artwork for their big-box clamshell releases, even though many of their titles were stinkers. I still have my copy of .

My cousin and I rented and from a local “mom & pop” video store called . Our parents went out that night…and we were left at home for a night of horror! Up to this point, the goriest film I had seen was…[Read more]

Even the TV shows that I liked the best were horror-themed – re-runs of The Munsters and The Addams Family. Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. Even my musical interest back then had a horror slant. I was obsessed with Kiss and Genes Simmons “demon” persona,…[Read more]

Unfortunately, they made the wrong choice, because shortly after this purchase the newly emerging VHS format knocked Beta off the shelves. So I was limited to just a couple “mom & pop” video stores that still rented Beta tapes, until we finally purchased a VHS. I…[Read more]

Danzig’s ninth studio album, “Deth Red Sabaoth”, is set for a (tentative) spring 2010 release. I’ll be eagerly awaiting this one. The line-up includes Steve (Samhain) Zing on bass, Tommy Victor on guitar, and Johnny (Type O Negative) Kelly on drums.

Nothing really sets “the mood” for me like Satan’s Child!:devilang: ViewThe Misfits and Samhain equally, followed by Danzig solo. I have to agree with most of you that the first three Danzig albums are outstanding, then it starts going downhill from there. Though, I think “Satan’s Child” and “Circle of Snakes” are fairly strong latter-day Danzig albums.

Well written, a little blues, a little rock, just a damn good album. ViewThe first album for me (I still have the original gatefold vinyl release that I bought when it came out). I think every track on this album is strong, but my favorites would have to be “Am I Demon”, “Soul on Fire”, “Twist of Cain”, and of course, “Mother” (great video too).
