I still remember when my parents bought our first VCR. It was a Sony Betamax machine. Unfortunately, they made the wrong choice, because shortly after this purchase the newly emerging VHS format knocked Beta off the shelves. So I was limited to just a couple “mom & pop” video stores that still rented Beta tapes, until we finally purchased a VHS. I still have a couple Beta tapes in my collection, namely Texas Chainsaw Massacre (released by Media Home Entertainment) and Godzilla 1985.
