Halloween 3 Season of the Witch Appreciation 1 year, 11 months agoI was watching Carpenter’s “Christine” today, and there were times when the music just made me think of Halloween III. I know a lot of Carpenter’s music has the same kinda vibe to it, but there’s something about the music in H3 that definitely works, even if it isn’t on the same level or reputation as the original film’s theme.
Hell, this…[Read more]

Dream Manipulation 3 years, 1 month agoI don’t mean for work. Who the hell wants to talk about their boring day jobs on an online forum? This question is for members of these forums who are creatively inclined, whether writers, musicians, artists, or filmmakers. I’m sure some, if not a lot of you do some of these things. So tell me what you do.
I write short stories, poetry, and I…[Read more] -

VHS Horror Nostalgia 3 years, 2 months agoI still remember when my parents bought our first VCR. It was a Sony Betamax machine. Unfortunately, they made the wrong choice, because shortly after this purchase the newly emerging VHS format knocked Beta off the shelves. So I was limited to just a couple “mom & pop” video stores that still rented Beta tapes, until we finally purchased a VHS. I…[Read more]

remakes? 3 years, 10 months agoof all the remakes that have come out id have ta say halloween
-
The Hills Have Eyes.
-
i would have to say by far the RZ’s remake of “Halloween”…..but there are a lot of great remakes out there that people dont give the necesary credit for……….
-
I agree, all the remakes so far shows the new generation how horror has grown over the years.
-
I’m going to have to agree with necro. Halloween has been the only remake that’s really blown my skirt up in the last ten years. Friday the 13th was mildly entertaining, and Nightmare was wretched.

zombie films of the 70s 80s 90s and now 3 years, 10 months agotheirs so many out their its hard ta choose and some r debatable whether their zombie films or not but id have ta go with return of the living dead …..
-
Probably Braindead or City of the Living Dead.
-
I’d say Lucio Fulci’s Zombie- a zombie fighting a shark? Can’t get better than that
-
that is my favorite zombie scene ever thats the only movie iv ever seen that in lol loved it!
-
BRAINDEAD! xD
-
Return of the Living Dead is most awesome. I remember seeing the trailer for it as a kid and getting scared. And when it came out on VHS I got my mom to rent it and fell in love. I’m with Zombiefarts, the zombie fighting the shark was classic.
-
Id have to go with Return Of The Living Dead…great movie
-
That sounds like Demons 2.
Best non Romero zombie film…
I would say a toss up between Cemetery Man, Return of the Living Dead, or Zombie. All of them for totally different reasons.
Cemetery Man has this cool existential story at the center of it and is funny as hell to boot. While I am sure Dead of Night will be nothing like it, I am…[Read more]

Zombieland. So funny, same with Shaun of the Dead

i agree with apoc:) but i liked The Crazies:)
-
Zombieland,Return of the Living Dead 1-3,Pet Semetary.Night of the Living Dead(1990),Dawn remake and Day remake.
-
i have to say 28 Days Later…even though they’re fast/running zombies, they are epically scary.

also Shaun of the Dead & Zombieland (Y) -
i have say its between remake of night of the living dead or reamke of day or dead alive or return of the living dead 2 or dance of the dead or zombieland or 28 weeks later its hard to choose
-
zombie holocaust (aka doctor butcher MD) had its moments as much as it was a rip off ….city of the living dead was also good …..its hard to pick a modern zombie film as I feel the genre changed too much following the success of 28 days later…..however shaun of the dead is probably the best release in a long time with obvious references to…[Read more]

Why isn’t there a punk rock/horror film fest in Chicago? We have conventions here and there, but they rarely ever let bands play. If they do, you have to be Horror-rock band with eyeliner and leather jackets! What the fuck? I would love to play in front of a screen with some good splatter scenes going on in the background. Maybe I’m crazy!

i’ve always liked this movie regardless of the fact michael myers isn’t in it.it was their intention to make different halloween related movies since myers was dead.as we know that didn’t happen.i think the idea of the killer masks is cool and original.
Great flick. My 2nd favorite of the series.
Has such a great Halloween (as in the holiday) vibe to it.
Somebody needs to make us some “HIII Fiends” sigs.
I personally really enjoyed this movie. Found it especially funny that Dick Warlock played the lead drone. Hilarious. But it was a good movie. I felt that it actually explained the concept of the Thorn (Thurisaz) curse of the Michael films but in an indirect way.
its cool how tom atkins will be in h3d.
Great film, the last scary one in the series!
This is one of my favourite 80′s horrors. I like how they took the series in a different direction. It had a really creepy feel to it and the score was brilliant.
♪ N days ’till Halloween…Halloween…Halloween… ♪
I have to admit,it grew on me,when i first saw it,Hated it,and and now I like it
Go Figure
Great flick that’s underrated that’s why I made this group lol.
I am so happy this group exists.
If you abandon the ties to the franchise, it views like a really cool 80s movie of the sort I’m assuming most of us grew up on.
Besides, everyone knows that druid robots want to kill children and OF COURSE they would use lethal Halloween masks (what?) to do it.
Despite its absolute silliness, this one…[Read more]
